La Poblanita Cemitas — Restaurant in Oregon

Came here once ate a burrito and they gave me an awesome habanero salsa that was great with my burrito. Came back to order take out for my whole family and came home and not one salsa in the bag. Not one! I mean I’m Mexican and spicy is a must so what’s the deal guys. I should have asked but I’ve eaten at other places and they give you salsas in the bag or at least ask you if you would like salsa with your order. Ate burrito plain and it was fine. But not good. Could have paid same price elsewhere with better food. Salsa is a must for me and my experience wasn’t a five star and food alone was not five star. Also tacos de lengua were dry, chewy and had no flavor do not recommend. The chicken mole was bad too and watered down. I was so excited for my family to try this place out and no one liked their food. My daughter did eat all their beans though. I do not recommend. We stopped by on Sunday afternoon, it wasn’t particularly busy. Greeted by trash bags and uncomfortable silence throughout. No music. Wait was 20 minutes for 4 tacos and 1 enchilada plate. Tacos were not good. The menu options are very strict. Like “yes we have shredded chicken but no you can’t have it on a taco. You have to have the cubed chicken on tacos.” The cubed chicken tasting a little bit like seafood(?) I couldn’t figure out what the weird taste was. The salsa options are habanero or tomatillo. Menu photos were unappealing.

My brother and I decided to try this place out. We are from New Mexico and for some reason it is hard to find decent Mexican food here. We were glad we decided to try them out. Their main specialty is Cemitas, which is a Mexican sandwich. The first day we got the carnetias and all I can say is wow. The flavor was amazing and there were actual big chunks of pork. The price is well worth it and one sandwich can feed two unless you are really hungry and I was. It was so good we went back the next day and got the beef sandwich. It was amazing too.
