Full story:
Most recent trip was this afternoon (Monday, from noon to 1). Not my first trip to Godfather's as a whole, but to this one specifically. I was greeted nicely at the counter by the manager, who ended up being the only staff member I would actively encounter during my time there. The price looked pretty good for a buffet in the area; even after spending an extra dollar for the salad bar I spent under $10 on my meal (Coke Freestyle drink included in the standard buffet price).
The salad bar itself was well worth the extra dollar. The veggies were fresh and plentiful, and there were some nice surprises in there. The potato salad was certainly better than I expected for a pizza place. The pizza, while of good quality, was already close to old when I walked in and looked as though they had been sitting out since the place opened an hour previous. To their credit, new pizzas came out as the old ones were eaten, but only when they were eaten; I recognized a particularly stubborn piece with pineapple on the way out, that I believe had been there when I arrived. The dessert offerings (pudding in the salad area, and something akin to cinnamon rolls with the pizza) were tasty, but few in number and largely forgettable.
The seating is plentiful and comfy, but suffered slightly from the limited staffing; dirty plates sat on tables when I arrived and were not attended to during my stay. It made me slightly concerned by the end of my meal, and I ended up compiling the plates from other nearby tables onto my own to make things a bit neater.
It's definitely a place worth revisiting, and I'd recommend it to friends (including you), but I'm definitely going to try to go during busier days and times; I think it will solve most of the problems I've seen so far. I'll update after another visit or two...
Read moreTook my teen kids here to pickup a quick dinner 4/18/2021. I ordered a Jumbo Taco Pizza, Italian Monkey Bread, and cheese sticks at 06:05pm, and was told my the cashier, "it'll be ready in 15-20 mins". 39 mins, 43sec later - NEARLY DOUBLE THE TIME SHE QUOTED IT TO BE READY BEFORE WE GOT OUR ORDER. I had sent my 15yo son in to pick it up 19 mins after ordering, and they told him it wasn't ready...however, when he went back in at the 39m 43 sec mark, (nearly 40 minutes later) they handed him the order from the warmer and the cheese stick box wasn't sealed for safety and per covid-19 precautions-see picture attached.
Love the taco Pizza especially, but WONT BUY GODFATHERS AGAIN because of this experience - and this was after spending nearly $60 there.
Horrible customer service experience-to little Cesar's, dominoes, or papa John's only from now on...the companies that quote ready times and value the customer experience and attention to...
Read moreI came a little before noon on a weekday. The employee at the register wasn't unpleasant, but put in the minimal effort into our interaction and was so quiet I had to ask him to repeat himself several times.
The place was not clean. The walls were dinghy and scuffed, the floor looked dusty. Surprisingly, the bathroom was decent.
The water tasted vile. Even my 7 year old who eats anything wouldn't finish her water. The cups were cloudy and grimy, so I couldn't really finish my water, either.
I can't really judge the pizza fairly, because I had to order the gluten free crust, and those premade crusts at every pizza chain are always cardboard and burn quickly, so not the employee's fault. The salad bar was pretty good at that hour, fresh ice and well-stocked.
A step below mediocre, but I've been to...
