Tonight me and my hubby, my daughter, her boyfriend , my grandson and a friend all went there to eat.
Me and my daughter ordered fajitas Texana...Upon seeing it....it looked burnt which it usually does anyway so I didn't think anything of it. I proceeded to fix my fajita and into the second bite....it was so hard when going down my throat it felt like something cut it and it choked me...to the point I actually got sick...my daughters was the same so before she got choked we told them that it was too burnt and it had choked me. They took both our dishes and said they would remake them. Then we happen to look over at my grandson's taco salad that he had ordered and noticed that the hamburger was still very pink...upon feeling it....my daughter (who is Serv saf certified) said that it was really mushy and that it was not cooked. We checked my husband's plate and 1 taco that was left out of 2 and all of it was pretty red.
They then decided we were getting nothing and didn't remake anything but proceeded to hand us a bill.
NOW IF YOU WANT TO GO THERE GOOD LUCK.
THEY are doing a lot of remodeling but apparently trying to make up for the poor food quality and service. We have gone there for years but will not return and I'll be updating if my hubby ends up getting sick.
THANKS El Cazador in Bedford,...
Read moreThis seems like it may be a local hang-out to watch sports and have margaritas but I didn't get to do either of those things on this occasion since I visited quickly on a Sunday afternoon.
Things I liked:
The vibrant and over-the-top decor.
The fast service.
The cheese dip with a bit of spice to it.
The cleanliness.
The Atari joystick weird dish sink in the bathroom.
The advertisement for an Elvis impersonator on the window outside.
Things I didn't like:
The Arroz con Mariscos had no indication on the entree description that it included peppers of any kind. I'm allergic to green peppers and had to pick all of them out, and there were quite a bit (this is actually--and oddly--something I have experienced at more than several Mexican restaurants). It was an ok dish, but the scallops were terribly small. I've had some of the best scallops at similar restaurants so, meh.
The guacamole salad served with it was sad. Just no reason for it to be included.
The guacamole I ordered for the chips was too smooth and way over salted. Inedible, no chucks or onion, avocado, etc.
My husband's chile relleno was cold. He had to send it back.
Otherwise, it was ok. If I was in the area and wanted a margarita or a taco, I'd probably go back but I wouldn't go out of my way to...
Read moreI LOVE Mexican food, well any ethnic food really, but Mexican is my favorite. This was the most disappointing meal I have ever had. My husband’s steak fajitas were decent, but my combo plate was horrendous. I ordered a plate with a burrito, tamale, and chili relleno. The sauce on my burrito tasted and smelled like canned spaghetti sauce, the tamale was mush topped with unseasoned ground beef, and the chili relleno was a pile of ground beef with zero chili as shown in the middle of the plate of mush, unseasoned, covered with cheese. The service was exceptionally slow, and unremarkable. It was worth a try, but not worth the cost. I will gladly pay more for food with flavor and texture over a plate of mush. The photo is what I couldn’t eat because it was so bad. The refried beans from my husband’s fajitas were the best part of the meal and what I ended up enjoying for dinner. There is nothing about this experience I could recommend to...
