What happened to this place? It used to be our go to place, but not anymore.
We waited forever because they are renovating the bar. The whole middle of the restaurant is closed, so basically half of the tables (or more) are gone.
We called ahead and were told a 45 minute wait and I was put on the call ahead list. We arrived 30 minutes later only to be told that it would be 25-30 minutes for a seat. Once we brought to our table, I was surprised to see that most of the tables were empty...
Our waitress was "eh." We had to ask for silverware and we were told they didn't have any and were waiting for them to be cleaned. Come on, half of your tables are gone and a lot were empty and you don't have any clean silverware?
We ordered an appetizer and it took forever to come. Another waitress brought it and we asked for plates and silverware as it was an appetizer that could not be eaten with your hands. The appetizer was good. We had to flag down our waitress to ask for bread after being seated for a while.
The waitress came over about 20 minutes after we were done our appetizer and asked whether or not we wanted her to put our order in. Before ordering, she stated that she would put in the appetizer and then put in our order as it was "very busy." I was so irritated at this point.
Our meals took 30 minutes to arrive. They were okay. We were all used to having a great meal here, so we were very disappointed. I got a BLT and the bread was burnt to a crisp. My husband got country fried chicken and it had a dob of gravy. He asked for more, but it never came, so he ate it with ketchup. The other meals were okay. (We had a party of 5.)
When we were done, our waitress took forever to bring our check. The credit card was immediately put with the check and she didn't come pick it up for 20+ minutes.
In total, not including the wait for the table, we were there for about 2 hours. Most of that time was waiting for food and our check. We did not sit around talking and it wasn't a leisurely meal. We were so tired of waiting for our table that we just wanted to eat and go home.
I am so disappointed. Maybe this was just a one time thing, but when I ordered out last month, we got the smallest portions (half of the size of what we would have had if we went to the restaurant).
I don't think I will be dining or ordering take out from T-Bones anytime soon. It's so expensive to dine right now and our check was quite hefty. It was a "treat" for us to be taken out. I am so disappointed.
It's so expensive there and the meal wasn't even good, the service was horrible, and the wait for the food, drinks, and silverware was absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe we were there for 2 hours! It blows my mind.
I know everywhere is short staffed and I definitely understand that, but I'll say it again and again, when half or more of your tables are gone due to renovation and about 6 tables were empty where we were sitting, it should not take 2 hours for an appetizer and 5 meals.
I would absolutely not recommend going here. I never, ever thought I would say that in a million years, but do not waste your money or your whole day waiting for subpar food...
Read moreCame in for lunch today and my friend and I both had salmon which was very good. The service however was rushed and cold- almost like it was a hassle that we were there. The server asked us 3 times within the span of a couple of minutes if we were ready to order even though we hadn’t had time to really look at the menu. Then she disappeared for a good 15 minutes. Rudely tossed the take out box on the table and never even asked if we wanted dessert which would have added to her sales but as we were not asked and just had the check thrown on our table, we did not order the dessert we were considering. If it’s a bother to serve tables, then maybe thisul is the wrong career choice for you. Knowing that this is not the norm, we will return but hopefully that server finds a more fulfilling job elsewhere or gets the training she clearly needs.
** UPDATE: So, clearly the bad service IS the norm now. We’ve gone regularly over the past few months and we’ve actually stopped at this point. Our server on the visit prior to the last one, our server literally threw our napkins at us. And the last time our server barely acknowledged us. The new payment process is TERRIBLE. It is so uncomfortable for patrons to have their server stand over them while they’re calculating tip, etc. Finally, our seafood has been terrible. The last time I got seafood here it was the haddock and shrimp meal- everything was so overcooked it was inedible. The shrimp had the texture of pork and the haddock was so firm and flavorless. Yet on our last- and I mean LAST- visit, the kitchen couldn’t even cook my burger well as requested, We have been patrons for years but just as with CJ’s, it’s clear that nobody cares about service or quality in this restaurant group anymore.
** another update - went back because my friend wanted to meet for lunch there. Not much has changed but the decor, still no obvious attempt to improve food or service.
They changed the bread… that we basically had to beg for. The server offered it and even though we said yes, we never got it and had to ask again when our meal arrived. My meal- the Asian noodle dish - came without any of the almonds or chow mein noodles as described on the menu. I waited 15 minutes before I could even eat, waiting for the server to remember my missing items. The vegetables in the dish were barely cooked and the carrots weren’t even cooked at all. And they had the dish SWIMMING in sauce.
Management, maybe focus more on hiring kitchen staff that can cook and servers who don’t forget all about you the minute they walk away from the table instead of changing the decor. This chain has just gotten so bad- CJs was so awful by the time it shut its doors and I don’t know how people return to T-Bones at all. It’s just never...
Read moreAs soon as we sat down, a waitress came over and introduced herself and said she'd be right back to take our drink order, and before she could even come back another waitress stopped her right in front of us and said if she had 2 tables (1 being us) , that she was gonna take one of them from her because she had none. She was super rude about it and i felt bad for our waitress. You could tell what was going on. The one who pretty much stole our table was a much older woman , and took advantage of our original much younger waitress. That was all before we even got our drinks. My brother ordered a beer in the bottle, which then our waitress gave him a glass. He never used it. When he later got another beer, she brought ANOTHER glass even though she could clearly see that he never used the first one. After getting our food that the chef from the back brought out himself, which I'm still not sure why our waitress couldnt do it herself, it got worse. The plate was hotter than the food, and by hot,i mean i couldnt even push my plate further up on the table without using a napkin because it was blistering hot. Normally plates come out hot,i get it,but this was the hottest I've ever experienced. What if that was a child's plate, they would scald themselves. Our waitress came over to check if we needed refills on our drinks and she actually touched the neck/mouth area of my brothers beer, totally unsanitary to check that way. Then once we were done eating, our waitress asked if we wanted a box, we said yes. She never came to bring a box...Five minutes later she comes back and asks if we wanted her to pack up the food, which obviously we said yes because she never brought us boxes in the first place to do it ourselves like she asked the first time. She gave us our bill and immediately said bye and to have a good night....when she had to come back anyways to get the payment from us. In all of this she never asked if we had the rewards card, and when we asked her to add it to the bill, she said she cant because its already been processed and that she didnt know that we had one. We asked her why she didnt ask when we had the rewards member scratch off ticket, she said she didnt realize, but that she couldnt reopen it and continued to argue back and forth. Then she leaves, ends up being able to reopen it and adds our rewards, comes back and tries to act all nice like nothing happened. This was the absolute WORST service I've had at a restaurant, and we spent the whole time wishing we couldve just kept the original waitress from the start because it was a sh*tshow with...
