Okay I'm going to be a little critical of whole foods. What whole food offers depends on which whole foods you go to. If you go to the whole foods up here in Nashua or Bedford. It's nothing to write home about. These two locations have what are considered low-income areas. I'm sorry I'm if that offends some, but that is a fact. The median income of Nashua is it's about $60,000 and the one up in Bedford the median area in Bedford itself is about 130,000 but the rest of the suburbs are nowhere near that. So the food you will find at least in the seafood area is no better than Hannaford or Market basket but prices are considerably higher than either. The meats are good. The produce is good but not outstanding. However if you go to a whole foods say in Bedford Massachusetts or closer to the Boston area, you will see a big difference. The quality is much better prices are pretty much the same but the quality is better. I felt that since Amazon took over whole foods the quality definitely has taken a second seat. My simple philosophy is if you want the quality that you used to get at whole foods and you're willing to pay the price by recommendation overall most definitely go to Wegmans. Wegmans is what whole foods was 20 years ago...
Read moreFirst experience loved it loved it loved it would suggest anyone in the Bedford area to check it out I felt like a kid in a candy store as a foodie from the freshest produce to the meat and fish department the halibut with some blind the rib steaks aged rib steaks and their own glass case just magnificent I didn't want to leave unfortunately I couldn't stay long as as long as I wanted but I will be back very soon because I just can't get enough
UPDATE ON 6/7/22
Went back again this past weekend and everything was good except for the young lady working in seafood. I asked her if she could cut me a fresh piece of halibut and she refused. I told her I only needed a 6 ounce piece and she said that I had to pick from one of the previous cut pieces that were much bigger than I needed. Because this rude girl refused to cut me off what I needed I was forced to buy a 12 ounce piece. Then I asked if she could skin it for me, and she rolled her eyes at me and said "I guess so' and when I got home my fish had NOT been properly skinned and I had to do it myself. It was a VERY Unpleasant experience and that girl needs some lessons in custom service and learning how to be polite...

One had to wonder how long it would take after the buyout for Whole Foods to stop being concerned about quality and focus on the mighty dollar. Now we have the answer! Until NOW.
Hot food is burnt and left out for hours (from pizzas to the hot bar). Clearly there is a mandate to NEVER freshen foods regardless of how long they've been out. Their store brand 365 products that used to be awesome are now inedible. And the staff has gone from uber-friendly to "you're in my way".
We all know their prices have always been high, sure - but now for a delivery order we have the Prime Fee ($13/mo?) the Delivery Fee ($10/per) and the tip. So a monthly delivery costs an extra $30... On about a $100 order. No argument on the tip of course, I'm just factoring in the total "convenience" upcharge. That's 30%. Really just silly.
And for overpriced items which have no become not just sub-par, but really sub-food.
Very sad day in this neck of the woods. I guess the delivery fee will be rolling out nationwide over time... I've canceled Prime and will be shopping...
