As a customer who was very excited to support this business, unfortunately it has been disappointing the last two weekends in a row.
The first weekend, I drove 40 minutes to check out this cafe, only to see a sign on the door that it had closed early. I completely understand that unexpected closures happen and appreciate that the update appeared to have been posted on Facebook (I hadn’t considered to check the first time).
However, this past weekend was far more frustrating. I called twice before driving out at 1 pm and received no answer. However, since they had posted on Facebook that they had stocked up for today and no updates about closures were posted (like they were last week) I made the trip again. When I arrived at 2 pm, I was told they were closing early again and did not even have coffee. To make things worse, when I asked about it, the staff member stated there had been a post on Instagram (not Facebook where I said I had checked) but this was not true. They also told me that if I wanted to guarantee service, I would have to arrive at noon, even though their hours state they are open until 3.
Driving a long distance twice only to find the café unexpectedly closed (with no reliable communication online or by phone) was extremely frustrating. The lack of accountability left a negative impression, especially when the stocking issues should have been addressed after the previous week. I truly wanted to support this business. I want to first start off by saying the donuts themselves are delicious. I wish i could give this place a 5 star as the donuts deserve that. However, customer service definitely plays a big part in this review. My first time coming here I waited patiently in line for my turn to order. As it was my turn next, i step up to the counter and am waiting for someone to take my order, another couple comes in, walks right up to the register and orders the last of the two flavors I was going to order, totally skipping the line all together. I brushed it off and decided to try a different flavor. I asked the lady who took my order and she mentioned the best way to secure the flavors you want is to call ahead. The second time visiting this place I called ahead to place my order and drove all the way there only to find out that they had “put my donuts aside and someone else must have sold them” and that they were done making donuts for the day. Again, I left with flavors I didn’t want and still had to pay for them even after their mistake. I understand places get busy, but this is terrible customer service. The employees clearly do not work together, do not communicate with each other, or off first come...

This time I did some Thanksgiving catering. Nothing crazy, just some ham and 2 salads. While they look delicious, the portion sizes are so, so tiny for the price /:
The ham is only 2 slices and doesnt have herbs (I paid $14-$15) but the photo on the website showed a plate that showed maybe 6 slices and covered in yummy herbs. I was just expecting the portion to reflect the photo and I dont remember it saying it was this small in the description.
The same for the harvest salad. I ordered 2 salads but what I received looked like 1 small sized salad. Just so small and did not reflect the large pretty salad used in the photo.
While I'm sure it will taste good, I am sad with how little I got. I think next year maybe include how large the items are in the description and have the photo reflect the size (I may have missed that or it might have not been included but I can't go back and look...
