Homesense — Local services in Bedford

The manager here is great,

But today an employee here was acting like I was bother for wanting to see a chair that was on a top shelf (blonde, early to mid twenties). It's like 12 ft up... and you have to have an employee use a ladder to grab it to see it. Prior to getting the help of this employee, 4 walked passed me without saying a word when I was visibly interested in something high up lol. So after about 10 mins I clicked the "get assistance" button and this girl came over and I explained how I would like to see a chair on the top shelf. She looked at me and asked if I was the one to click the botton I after I had just said hi to her and that I wanted to see a chair lol. I was the only one there. She said she needed a ladder so she left to grab one. We met where the chair was and she was frustrated that there was already a ladder there so which I apologized because it felt awkward. She then grabbed the chair (its like 25lbs, small chair) and brings it down to me. And stood there and stared at me when I tested it, I felt rushed and that I didn't have a min to think about it so I said I was okay and that I didn't need it. She replied in an annoyed tone "so you don't want it?" And I said no thank you and she said "ok?" It was just odd 🥴 I can't tell if its comfy from 10-15 ft about my head, how else was I supposed to test it out without having an employee grab it? Parking here was easy as I found a space right away. Once inside I noticed some great small items for the home. I did end up buying a small furniture unit. You really have to overlook the rude and somewhat passive aggressive employees of this place in order to get a deal on some furniture. The two employees I encountered here are just lucky I was in a good mood and felt bad for them when they acted up. I'll come back to this store to find some unique gifts, I'll ignore the ignorant employees for sure, and stay away from the cheap furniture. Some of the furniture is damaged if you look closer. Wow! I have never been to a Homesense store before and I had no idea what to expect. This store was beautifully organized with items for your home and they leave no stone unturned. I thought perhaps it was a furniture store, but it's more than that. They have everything to decorate your home and truly make it perfect. I loved their selection of indoor and outdoor furniture and they had an awesome kitchen section. They also have a decent size rug section all beautifully priced. This is new and this is fresh!
