After a long day of moving, my wife and I were seriously craving some good pizza and we decided to commemorate the day by driving 25 minutes out to Curry Pizza House in the Bee Cave area of Austin, TX. Let me tell you, boy was it worth it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and incredibly friendly service that set the tone for a fantastic experience.
We ordered a half-and-half pizza, Achari Cauliflower on one side and Chilli Paneer on the other. While both were delicious and full of bold, authentic Indian flavors, we found ourselves gravitating more toward the Achari Cauliflower. The seasoning was spot on, and the flavors popped in a way that made each bite memorable. The cheese stood out too—it wasn't your typical mozzarella. It had a richness and creaminess that took the whole pizza to the next level.
Yes, the price is slightly on the higher end compared to your average pizza joint, but the quality more than justifies it. The ingredients tasted fresh, the flavors were unique and deeply satisfying, and the portions were generous.
Their drink selection was another pleasant surprise, with plenty of options to pair with your meal. All in all, this spot is an absolute gem especially if you’re into Indian-styled pizzas. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try something outside the traditional pizza box. We’ll...
Read moreSo far so good. We ordered pizza after a long day of moving and first had a hard time finding them. Their sign isn’t easy to see at night with the black sign and white backlight. You can’t really tell what it is until you drive up. As we walked up, we noticed a table of desi teens eating their pizza so we knew it should be pretty good. The guy behind the counter doesn’t have much of a personality. No welcoming hello or anything. Just sort of there and asked what our name on the order was. He ran back to the kitchen and told us to wait longer. Once we got our tandoori pizza, we all dove in. It was pretty good! I wouldn’t say it’s close to a regular 4-5 star desi restaurant but for pizza, it’s pretty good. The lamb was good and chicken on the other pizza was good with all the right flavors. A bit dry and not really saucy or anything but good for when you want something different than your typical pizza. Their marg pizza needs some help. Not much flavor there at all. Probably less flavorful than even a regular chain. I won’t be ordering that again. For desi flavors though, it...
Read moreReview for Pizza with Indian Flavors (Tandoori-inspired):
I recently tried a pizza with Indian flavors, featuring tandoori-inspired toppings, and it was an absolute delight! The fusion of traditional Indian spices with the classic pizza base created a unique and flavorful experience.
What I Loved:
• Tandoori Chicken: The chicken was perfectly marinated, juicy, and packed with the bold, smoky flavors typical of tandoori cooking. • Indian Spices: The use of garam masala, cumin, and a hint of chili added a depth of flavor that complemented the cheese and tomato base beautifully. • Fresh Ingredients: Toppings like onions, bell peppers, and cilantro enhanced the overall freshness and balance of the dish. • Perfect Crust: The crust was just right—crispy on the edges and soft in the middle, serving as the perfect canvas for the bold flavors.
