Where did customer service go? Where did the quality of food go? When did everyone lose pride in their work? Last night was one of the worst experiences I've had at sonic, and I've been going to sonic for 25+ years. Right off the bat, the level of customer service received while ordering, was unwelcoming and the employee seemed bothered to even be there. The screen on the menu board was so dirty and broken, couldn't see what being entered. When the food arrived, I received a Large drink, but I know I ordered a 44, questioned the drink, and the car hop proceeded to argue with me. The receipt, showed a 44, and thus, I paid for a 44, yet received a large. I also ordered that 44 as a Dirty Dr. Pepper, yet when received, half cream half dr pepper, no coconut and no lime. Both my wife and I ordered bacon on our burgers, and what was received resembled an overcooked single sliver of bacon bits pressed together. My daughters chicken straps and fries, cooked in old oil, and not freshly made, been sitting out for awhile. Ordered medium tots, received a basket of tots smothered in cheese that I believe was warmed up 10 years ago. I'm very disappointed in this trip. It was late, and we had a strict schedule to keep, and I was in no mood to bring this to the attention of the manager at that time. Again, this was disappointing, yet these are the type of employees and the level of service where they expect 18 to 20 an hour, why? Read moreI sent my daughter and her friend for a drink. They went through the drive thru and ordered my drink. One young lady collected the money for the drink then another employee by the name of Taneesha, (I'm not sure that's the correct spelling) gave the drink and threw the change at my daughter into the vehicle. Then before closing the window she used curse words calling my daughter and her friend names. They were not given a receipt, they were not given the correct change and the cup was not cleaned up and had soda all over it. I did call and talked to a manager and let her know what happened and asked for a General Managers number. The manager I talked to was helpful. I let her know I wanted a refund because I didn't want to drink the soda after what happened not knowing if it was contaminated. I went back for a refund but decided to ask her to re-make my drink in front of me which she kindly did. I will be following up with the GM. Read more5pm Friday 3/18: Sonic NOT BUSY, with two cars ahead of me in drive thru and less then a half dozen in stales. Yet I still waited ten minutes before the two cars ahead of me were served just so I could place my order. Waited another almost ten minutes to get my food. Two pretzels, popcorn chicken and chili cheese tots. Pretzels were dry as the yano, obviously had been cooked twice instead of throwaway and made fresh, chicken had to of been atleast 3 to 4 hours old, hard as a rock and cold. An to top it all off my tots didn't even have chili on them. When I said something the window girl said let me see if they chargered you for the chilli. I said, "does it matter, I ordered it with chili and cheese. Another five minutes goes by and I get my correct tots. Food tasted like a mix of a old leather boot, a rusty tin can and my dogs milk biscuits. Sure glad I brought my wife on her birthday for a late lunch here.
