Would you agree that the customer made a mistake in expecting to get a mango with the sticky rice? even the receipt has the picture of the mango! (see below) But that was not the issue, the problem is how the manager and the rep blamed the customer on 1st clicking the wrong order given the picture that goes with it, 2nd the manager on lecturing the customer about listening while doing the monologue herself and brought up at the end that the mango was not in season. The purpose of my call actually was just simple: 1) to take out the item from the menu online if they don't have the mango and 2) don't accept the order if they can't serve the mango. The refund is not the solution all the time especially if the amount is immaterial. But the anger and stress caused by offensive way of handling the call is priceless after your expectation failed. You don't blame the customer for some third party internal system glitch worse, you don't assume you know how the prior conversation went thru and the context therein transpired unless you are a party to the conversation. Worse, you don't lecture the customer about listening with a non-stop monologue , accuse her of not listening then offer a resolution after. Play it back if you have a recording and listen how you sounded - compassionate manager. Compassion is not solely exclusive to your employee, your customer might also be entitled to one. Just a heads up to the next victim craving for mangoes on a sticky rice...lol! We all knew its not in season...so the height of expectation is to the max when one "Rice Street in Bell Gardens" offered it as available on line and...

Rice Street in Bell Gardens has been around for over 10 years, and you can feel the owner’s passion in both the food and the way he treats his customers. Everything is made with fresh ingredients, and the quality really shines through. The flavors are authentically Thai with a fun fusion twist — a little bit of Mexico mixed in.
What I recommend: 🍜 Rice Street Noodles – Chewy fried noodles tossed in their secret sauce that keeps you coming back for more. Bonus: it comes with a free drink! 🥗 Thai Spicy Salad – Spicy, sour, and loaded with grilled beef. Packed with protein + fiber, it’s light but so satisfying. Perfect summer dish. 🍲 Tom Yum Soup – Unlike anywhere else I’ve tried. Full of seafood, bright and tangy, and super appetizing. 🍛 Green Curry – Mildly spicy, creamy, and seriously addictive.
For the food adventure crowd: • Thai Quesadilla – A playful fusion twist; think Thai shrimp cake meets Mexican chicken quesadilla. Unique and fun to try.
Dessert is a must! Their Mango Sticky Rice is served in different shapes with seasonal mango. The fruit is juicy, the sticky rice is fresh and not overly sweet — one of the best versions I’ve had.

Read moreI recently ordered the Teriyaki Beef Combo Set to go from Rice Street Thai Restaurant in Bell Gardens, and I was quite pleased with the overall experience. The beef was nicely cooked—tender with a savory teriyaki glaze that added a delightful flavor punch to the dish. Paired with perfectly steamed white rice and a fresh salad, it made for a balanced and satisfying meal.
The inclusion of a lemonade cucumber drink was a pleasant surprise. It was refreshingly light with just the right hint of tang, making it a great complement to the savory flavors of the beef.
While everything was enjoyable, there was a slight room for improvement. The portion size felt just a bit on the smaller side for the price, and the teriyaki sauce could have been a little richer to enhance the overall flavor profile. However, these are minor quibbles in an otherwise pleasant dining experience.
Overall, Rice Street Thai delivered a quality meal that left me looking forward to my next order. A solid 4...
