I hate to leave bad reviews but I feel that I must say something about this place. 1st It is not a very clean place. The tables are all smudged and the menus do not look like they have been cleaned at all. By reading reviews it looks like this place has gone down hill within the last 12 to 6 months. The chips were stale. The salsa was great. I give it 4 stars by itself. I ordered the Chile Relleno plate and my Husband ordered the Cameron's empanisado. The food was cold. The beans tasted old. They had an old taste to them . The rice wasn't any better. I swear the Chile relleno was of the frozen variety. It tasted just ok. My Husband's shrimp was cold . The 6 French fries were cold and hard. Let's just say everything on the plate was cold. The tortillas hechos a Mano were the only thing hot. But they were not cooked all the way thru. They were doughey. All in all I was not happy at all. The menu was much smaller than about a 6 months to a year ago and the prices are much more expensive. I wish I did not have to pay the $40 I am going to have to pay. I will not leave a tip. The services was not good. Only 3 couples in the place including my husband and I. SMH An all around bad experience. 😞 I am so very...
Read moreThe restaurant looks very nice and clean. They accommodate for large parties as well as they have small booths and dining tables. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have live music beginning at 6pm (if you’d like to request a song they charge $20).
We ordered a Tampiqueña (one slice of carne asada, refried beans with cheese, rice, grilled nopales and jalapeño, and a green enchilada stuffed with cheese and topped with sour cream) and a small Molcajete (carne asada, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, nopales, and green onions). Both plates came with “homemade” tortillas. The food was well seasoned and tasty. However, what was disappointing at the start of our order was when we asked for chimichangas with guacamole and a cucumber water, and they said they didn’t have any. Then, at the end we asked for a flan, and they also didn’t have it. (Perhaps having too many items on the menu is not a good idea).
The live music was varied and sounded good.
The restaurant began to get very busy, and there were only two waiters while we were there dining. At the time, they seemed to be keeping up with the orders.
I would recommend this place. Hopefully they have chimichangas for the...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience. We went there after my dad saw a video of the place in the web. When we got there it was dead almost empty. It was on mother's day. We didn't get the regular menu. Apparently they had a special menu for mothers day which consisted of like 5 items or so. Very pricey. We wouldn't mind it if the food was done well but no. I don't know why even bother to take temperatures on meat if everything came out well done. We had a party of 13 been 7 of them kids . 6 adults. 4 kids had chicken nuggets and 3 had soft tacos with meat. They served the kids first and they forgot one of the kids plate. My niece was so hungry and kept asking for her food. She didn't get her food until almost the other kids were finished. Then the adults got their food but my sister. She got a stake and never came out. I had to get up and look for someone because nobody came by to talk to us . My sister ended up canceling her food. They came with the food after but it was so late they had served two more tables already before they came over. It was terrible . The waitress even admitted saying she got confused with the orders to me. No wonder...
