I rarely write reviews on hotels unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, this one was the latter at least in regards to the room I was assigned. Given that other rooms may be in much better shape, I wouldn't rule out this hotel as a place to stay, since others could be different. Just check your room before settling in.
My colleague and I arrived about 10pm and there was no one at the front desk. We had to wait for about 5 minutes for anyone to appear. Once she came out, she was pleasant enough. Our rooms were assigned promptly.
I observed that the hotel had at some point attempted to make updates to it, some more successful than others. It seems a decent enough place, but they need to address a few items. I was in room 330. Don't get this room until they replace the tub. I would love to post a picture of it along with this review. I'm pretty accepting of things such as a little mold in caulk or stray hairs on the floor. The bathroom looked clean and the counter had been updated to granite, but I didn't open the shower curtain, which was closed on my arrival.
I settled in and later opened the shower curtain. The tub was one of those fiberglass models that was so worn (down to the blue underneath) and peeling around the drain overflow, and yellow on the bottom of the tub where you stand, that it would have been labeled as 'gross' to anyone accept someone coming from a third world country. I seriously doubt that the hotel owner or manager would have showered here. Since it was so late and night, I didn't feel like complaining to the desk clerk or packing up and moving to another room, so I just made the best of it and stood on a washcloth to shower.
Also in my room, the sheers on the window had about a 6" horizontal rip in them and most if not all the lampshades showed signs of the fabric disintegrating. The carpet was also in need of a good shampoo. The carpets in the halls are in the same condition and also need to be stretched to avoid trip and falls.
My colleague had some similar issues in her room, but not nearly as bad as mine. I strongly suggest that the owner/manager review/inspect each room in this hotel, and not assign my room and any others like it, until something can be done about them. If not, they will continue to get unfavorable reviews. I stay at a lot of hotels, including Quality Inns and most are...
Read moreFlew in from Japan and decided to stay somewhere nearby my family. The first hotel had piping issues when I woke up and they refunded me the money without even questioning me. As I was having brunch with my father and my grandparents I booked this hotel, I called the front desk and told them my friends will get to the hotel before me and requested them to get the key while I show up. My friends where in and out of the room within 15 minutes because the bathtub was filthy and the walls where moisture as if they haven't been clean. I detoured my brunch to go checkout but my friends had checked out already. I canceled my reservation. No refund policy for improper sanitization I did have an issue with. I called hotels.com and they middle man the conversation from me and the hotel (since I booked it thru hotels.com) no manager working on that Saturday. So I called during the weekday and requested to speak to Erika. When I spoke to Erika she had all this filler mistaken information. Apparently we didn't check out within a 3 hour period (which these girls where in and out within 15 mins) so no refund. I had email confirmation and cancelation within two hours (that includes the time that it took my friends to drive there, me get there, then cancel) I told Erika I can provide her with these emails, the confirmation numbers and they time that all this was done. She offered me to look into it and asked for my number to follow up with me. She never called my refunded was never given. I rarely do this but I was enraged with her customer service. Professional not really. Erika I'm still waiting your call. At this point thanks for having the opportunity to refund money, but I'm happy you're getting a good laugh at the fact that I had to pay for another hotel room, thanks! Btw I just did a 2 year tour in Japan in the service and I get back to...
Read moreWe were hotel catfished. We arrived to what looked like a prison cell. Plain white walls, no furniture. No where to place our belongings, wardrobe, dressers night stands, we had to place our luggage / clothing against the wall on the floor. Place our cells phones watches on the floor to charge. Not to mention the entire hotel floor in the halls were taped down and complete filth.. I was literally in shock walking to my room then even more shocked when I opened it. The jacuzzi was boarded up. No gym. Nothing at all advertised delivered. I called the front office as soon as I got in my room to complain and she said they were doing renovations and there is nothing they can do to accommodate my stay move my room or discount aside from checking our within 10 mins to get full refund. It is impossible to find another room within 10 mins late at night and risk my family being on the street if we weren’t able to find another room. Their accommodation to refund within 10 mins or lose opportunity is insane and they know the likely hood of this happening is slim so families are stuck staying the night in this trash! I complained to Priceline as well which is where we booked the room through and they offered a 20% discount. I was not satisfied with the way the hotel handles this and why even put customers in a room if it’s in renovation ? Don’t book those rooms it’s truly false advertisement and not fair at all to pay for something like this! I truly have nothing nice to say about this hotel. The staff didn’t have compassion or empathy to our inconveniences, the location was loud and heard city traffic, city construction, and even a police stand off incident we had to endure near our...
