Visited this place for the 1st time on Friday, November 11th, because it was recommended to my mom.
Had the most horrible experience with the manager and/or owner of the place I have ever had.
As she was rushing and running back and forth to attend a corner table that had complained and were upset because their food was taking a long time. She managed to stop by and rudely approach our table to tell me to be careful with the 2 acrylic menu holders, that she didn’t want my toddler aged son to break them and hurt himself.
I politely responded that he will be fine since they were acrylic and hard to break. Then I said, but if you’d like, you can take them (handed both to her) since we ordered already and didn’t need the QR code that was inside the holder.
She took one and very rudely gave me the other one back. She said to put it together and she will be back for it and walked away.
I don’t tolerate bad customer service, since I have a customer experience background myself.
She has zero manners, she is rude and a mouth!
We got up to pay for the coffee (since we never got the soda we asked for) and my mom said to wait outside with my son as she paid.
I was outside waiting when I hear her making comments to my mom. She was telling her that what she did and what she said wasn’t rude for me to get up and leave. Then she proceeded to say that nowadays, kids control the parents in a sarcastic voice and demeanor. She even smirked at the end. She was making these comments in front off all the patrons.
Her comments and her behavior are unnecessary and she doesn’t own the right to tell anyone how to be a parent.
She runs a restaurant and she needs to focus on how to run a business. People go there to eat and have a good time with friends and family. We can’t even enjoy that with food not coming out in a timely manner and with the horrible customer service...
Read moreTodays vist to El Picante was a bad experience due to the very poor service I received from our waitress. I was sat down at our table. Served our salad and other appetizers...but with no silverware or napkins on our table. We finished our drinks and were not offer more drinks or water. We literally yelled loud to get the attention of any of the 3 waitresses that were only 10 to 15 feet away and had no luck. Not one bothered to look up to us. With me and my wife yelling near by patrons look at us and looked astonished that not one of the 3 heard us. After 5 mins had gone by, 1 finally saw us waving and yelling. Expecting her to come to our table that was 10 feet away, she tell her co-worker... "table 1 needs something, go see what they need". Her co-worker ignored her and kept doing her thing on the counter.. after another 4 to 5 minutes she comes over to see what we needed. I asked for an additional order of tortillas. Which came in another 5 mins. By then I had finish my meal and didn't need the order any more. Literally 20 mins wait for an order of tortillas. Unbelievable.... needless to say I did not tip (I tip always on good service 25 %... excellent service 35 % and cash always for tips. The government dont need to tax a server on their tip money) and I'm leaving this review so that they have a constant reminder of what bad service is like. Please remember to give 100% to your customers...even if it's 1 hour...
Read moreFirst time coming here today, and we came because we saw good reviews on here, but oh my god terrible service! The waitresses were fighthing with each other the whole time. Two of them were by the kitchen fighting over a tip and then they all gathered by the cash register and they were all arguing. Not only is that very unprofessional it makes the restaurant look terrible. Instead of fighting they should attend their customers no one came by once to offer us a refill we had to chase down a waitress just to get our tortillas. I was very dissapointed by the service. The food was very good and the iced tea was delicious but I honestly dont know if ill be going back. The owner of this place needs to do a better job with his staff. Oh and when we had payed our check I still had about half of my iced tea on my cup and I asked the waitress if I could have a to go cup (after all I did pay for my iced tea) and she told me that they charge a dollar to give me a to go cup! Really? After I payed for my drink I still have to pay just to take it home! Just...
