This is the second location I have eaten from, the first being in the Heights District. This proves to me CONSISTENCY is something this business does just as effortlessly as providing great pizza for the greater Houston area, and dispels the myth that some locations in swankier areas are superior.

This location is in the heart of the Bellaire District, just shy of the Medical Center proper.

As a person that has tried a very large cross-section of pizza joints with no prejudice, this chain shows that they hold their own in such a large market. They do this by doing what all chains should strive for: superior and locally sourced ingredients, simplicity, consistency, customer service, and food industry ethics.

This location is a bit larger than its Heights counterpart with very cool neon graphics along the back wall, not offensive or too bright, its ambiance is exactly what you want in a low-key eatery.

Plenty of parking, in a safe area, where your car is visible from the establishment if you tend to worry, but as long as you aren’t stupid you should be fine.

If you listen to google maps it will try to take you behind the business in a very weird coordinated farce, but it is in that odd offshoot where Bellaire converges into the bus station so you might have to pop a u-turn or turn into the shopping center very early if you are coming from 610.

If you’re on the fence it’s a great place to eat and take this as a sign to have it for yourself, significant other, or family at large tonight. The pizza is Detroit style which means it’s kinda like a deep dish sorta and in a square shape instead of the pie, but they do offer the Houston pie which is just the usual 3.14 shape, which only comes in 12” so if you’re a bigger eater or just gluttonous grab two if ya want leftovers. I recommend the garlic sauce to dip it’s really good.

Remember to always patronize smaller businesses instead of larger corporate chains, not being pretentious it just creates a better gastro landscape with interesting choices instead of the usual soulless, processed, garbage w/ a slick...

Okay listen… this is my SECOND time having Gold Tooth Tony’s Detroit-style pizza and I’m starting to believe they put something illegal in the crust—because there is no earthly reason why it should be this freaking good. Like. I took one bite and immediately forgot my childhood trauma.

First of all, the crust? It’s like a love child between crispy cheese edges and actual clouds. A literal golden, caramelized halo around a doughy center that could fix my credit score. The sauce? Sweet, tangy, probably imported directly from the tomato Garden of Eden. And the toppings? Don’t even get me started. They layer it like it’s couture. I don’t know what kind of pizza wizard lives in that kitchen, but whoever they are, I hope they’re drinking enough water and sleeping 8 hours a night. Because they are changing LIVES.

Now. The fried Brussels sprouts?? BABY. They did not have to go that hard. Like excuse me, who gave them the right to make vegetables taste like snacks from heaven’s VIP lounge? Crunchy, salty, perfect, and somehow sexy??? I don’t know. I’m confused. And in love.

I swear when I eat this pizza I leave my body. I’m in space. I’m floating past Jupiter, whispering “thank you Tony” into the void.

If you haven’t had Gold Tooth Tony’s, ask yourself: do you even love yourself? Fix that. Go. Now. Order it. And...

Gold Tooth Tony’s Detroit-style pizza is a revelation. The thick, airy crust has a perfect crispy edge that’s golden and buttery, while the interior remains light and chewy. The generous layer of cheese melts beautifully, creating that signature gooey, satisfying bite. The sauce is a zesty, fresh marinara that’s applied generously, giving each slice a vibrant burst of flavor. Whether you go classic pep or opt for something more adventurous like the piggy 😋personally my favorite, every topping is perfectly chosen and applied without skimping, ensuring every inch of the pizza is packed with flavor.

Every bite of this pizza is an experience, with the balance of crispy edges, rich cheese, and zesty sauce creating a mouthwatering symphony. Gold Tooth Tony’s doesn’t just serve pizza – they deliver an unforgettable, crave-worthy slice of Detroit’s finest. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a celebration of flavor that’ll have you coming back for more.

Props to the guys they are bomb dot com like...

The staff here was so welcoming and friendly! They were able to help provide us recommendations as first timers. We got the Meat Lovers Detroit Style, Piggy (with figs, proscuitto, etc) in Houston (thin crust) style, and Garlic Knots. Because of the oven, the crusts on both pizzas were incredibly crisp and able to hold the weight of the toppings well without getting soggy or breaking. The marinara was rich, a bit on the sweeter side, but still very satisfying. The garlic knots came with an included marinara cup. We also got their ranch, which was delicious for dipping. The knots were fresh and very buttery and garlic-y. They had 80s music playing, Ghostbusters 2 streaming, and it felt like you expected to walk around the corner and see some kids on a pinball machine like it was 1987. There were only a few tables that are smaller high tops, but we were still comfortable. Highly recommend and will continue to come back!

I’ve been looking for an excellent true Detroit-style pizza in Houston (that came close to the best Detroit pizza I’ve had back home where I’m from). Most in Houston were ok, but all were not close in proximity to Rice Village/ West University. I saw that they recently opened up a Gold Tooth Tony’s on Bellaire (Holcombe), which was close to West University, so I decided to give them a try. The pizza was so good (the best in Houston by far), that I went back and got another pizza the next day. It’s all about the crispy chewy corner piece and the thick red sauce on top. This place did not disappoint. I also got an order of wings, and I was happy that there were jumbo in size, not the tiny wings. Staff were friendly, and everyone there had a great attitude. Definitely going to come back regularly. **Note: The location is small and the parking lot is rough, so not really a dine-in type of spot.
