Decent food, horrible service. Register guy with long hair always says something unnecessarily mean-spirited to me. First time I went, I told him it was my first time, and asked him what was in the pork eggrolls (as there was nothing but "pork" in the description), he just said "Pork" and paused. Of course I say ".... Is that it?", and that wasn't it. As a food server, he should know some people have allergies and preferences, and need more detail than what's in the freaking title. It was weird, but could be brushed off as "He just couldn't help trying to be funny.". But the 2 times I went after that, there was always a weird, rude comment that would give me pause. But he wouldn't linger on it and would just change the subject. And I'm not a confrontational person, so I wouldn't acknowledge it either. Just make a face. Last time I went, I was already having a horrible day, and just wanted egg rolls as a pick-me up. His comment that time broke the dam and actually made me cry while I waited for the food. Real weird guy. Don't know what his deal is. Rude, but makes great food. Would only recommend if you're the type to fight back, or are in a group that can confirm what he says is out of pocket.
Edit: Weird response from the "owner" about customers being rude. Of course I don't have video of the interactions. That's why I say come with friends, because the way I was talked to was crazy. But of course when you're alone, the person can make up any narrative they want to make it seem like you're the problem. I don't come on here bashing small ethnic businesses for no reason. I simply want to request my food and go home. The bare minimum I could get back is professionalism, and not snide remarks every time I come in. But you know they're crazy when they think a proper response to "This is my first time here. What's in the Pork Eggrolls?", is "Pork". That's not just the main ingredient. It's literally what I already said. So you're just talking to me like I'm stupid. I'm obviously not asking if there's pork in the pork eggrolls. And asking what's in it is simply not "rude". We all have issues, as we're all human. That's why shouldn't be rude to each other. Simple as that. Don't work in customer service if you can't resist being rude to people...
Read moreETA: after reading through other reviewers it seems like the protein portion is one of the most common complaints, but anyone who leaves less than a 5-star honest review gets an incredibly snarky reply from the owner; one even stating "don't ever come back, since you obviously don't have good taste". That's wild to me, as any successful business owner knows that if the only less-than-stellar reviews you receive are of common theme, it usually is not a fluke. So yes, protein is always the most expensive ingredient to source for any restaurant, but that doesn't mean the reviewers are wrong and it certainly doesn't show any semblance of professionalism to reply in that way. I'd love for this concept to do well and to grow, as I genuinely think a Viet place like this is unique and a cool idea, but I think the blame being shifted onto displeased guests is the wrong direction to be looking for fault and will not help a business flourish in any way.
There was no one else there when we went, so service was fast and very friendly. The food however, was very lacking. I took it home and cooked more shrimp to add to my salad since there were very few and it was primarily lettuce in a very small bowl. The spring rolls were also the tiniest spring rolls I've ever gotten from a Viet restaurant before, and again the protein was abysmal. The peanut sauce was pretty bland. It was quite a bummer since this place reminds me of a Viet version of a Chipotle (although in a Chipotle salad, it's about 50/50 on the protein to lettuce ratio), which is amazing as a concept since it's quick+easy+customizable but all in all you just do not get enough protein/food for the price you're paying, especially compared to other Viet places. They do have an option for extra protein, but with how little they give to begin with I don't think the additional $5 charge...
Read moreVisited for the first time on July 24th 2021. The establishment appeared to be clean. The cashier a young girl appeared to be somewhat new. She took my order which came to 40.27. There was another guy that also worked the register and the guy preparing the food. When we received the food it wasn't all that we ordered (or I thought). I had ordered two orders of spring rolls and one of the egg rolls and the drink along with other things. We received one order of Spring rolls and the egg roll with the drink was stuck in one of the vermicelli bowls. The cashier added by mistake, I assume a add on of egg rolls instead of the 2nd spring roll. Also we ordered a pizza just to try and she failed to ring it up. When I went back to ask about the food the guy (which I found out later was the owner) was extremely rude and said I got what I paid for and if I wanted anything else I could pay for it and he was busy. I told him that he was being rude and he didn't seem to care. We ate our food there which gave him plenty of time to think about the way he treated us , his customers and he chose not to apologize. I work in the restaurant industry and the owner of the restaurants I work for would never treat customer that way. If you are to busy to be nice to your customers perhaps you need to hire another cook. The food was ok nothing special but not bad either except for the egg rolls which were greasy and dry. The vermicelli bowl was ok but the sauce had very little flavor. We will never do business with Viet Nom Noms ever again. The owner does not care for his customers and has very poor customer service skills. Mai's Restaurant is much better and has good customer service. I'm sure that the owner will respond and make excuses but there is never an excuse for being rude to people who take a chance and visit your...
