The park is well kept, clean, safe, and well-lit after sundown. There is always plenty of parking options (all free) most of the time. It's great for walks but not so much for running as there is only one small loop and the other paths are not completely connected or sometimes require sudden turns. The central mound and stage are great for gatherings and general sports. There are tennis courts, handball court, a batting cage, exercise equipment such as pull-up bar and steps, etc. If you're a PokémonGO player, this park is great for stocking up on items and grinding in general. Combined with the nearby Paseo Park area on the corner of Bellaire @ South Rice, it is also one of the best spots for raid hour.
