Zero stars.

I used to frequent this establishment when it was at its original location. My friends and I would eat lunch here at least once a week ( many many years ago ). And back then, you would cross your fingers in hopes that you could get a table that was available. That is how good and popular it USED to be!

Today I had an appointment in the medical center and decided to swing by because their yellow curry WAS delicious and I had not been here in years.

Oh no! The yellow curry at first sight was a brownish color with a hint of yellow gravyish look to it. It was Like a gravy you put on mashed potatoes or your thanksgiving turkey. The curry even had a bounce to it. This was NOT the delicious yellow curry they USED to make!

The chicken: it looked like it had sat in the freezer for decades because it had the freezer burn look to it.

The place was nearly empty when all those years ago it used to be packed to the brim !

The waiter asked how lunch was, I was honest, he tried to make things better and asked if I wanted to try another dish. I should have known better and should have left. But I tried the vegetable Pad Thai.

The Pad Thai had al dente noodles with minuscule barely visible pieces of tofu. The Pad Thai was not good at all.

I paid and left very...

Just not very good, I'm used to real, and most excellent Thai. I would have given them 3, maybe even 4 stars except for this. We always order to go, and I never go to do pick up. The one time I did, the order wasn't ready, we were asked if we wanted something to drink, my friends ordered beer, paid their tab... and it was taking so long that I finally asked for a tea. I couldn't believe it, they actually charged me! Some might find my comment shocking, but typically in this type situation, ESPECIALLY with something so simple as an unsweet iced tea, they never even accept payment when I offer. I might not even mention this in-hospitality, except generally they were rude as well. It's hard to find good restaurants in Houston, let alone this area, so we used to eat there fairly often; but I won't spend my food dollars there again, they're food is...

Nice ambiance, average food, terrible service. The place is cute and nicely decorated, with booths to sit at. My main complaint is the service- we had to wait a significant amount of time to be seated, and our waiter forgot about our order specificities twice. When I asked about something he had forgotten, he interrupted with, “I know,” and went on his way. Once we checked the receipt, we noticed he had even charged us for the extra rice that he had forgotten to bring us. We never received it.

He never checked in on how things were going and we had to flag him down for anything we needed. It wasn’t busy, so I don’t know what the issue was.

The food was alright, we tried the Roasted Duck Curry and the Chili Basil. Both were mid-par, nothing notable.

Overall our experience wasn’t pleasant at all- the service ruined the experience. We won’t be...

I ordered wings of paradise. These are not wings. These are drummettes. I asked before I ordered were These wings. They said yes. These Asian restaurants don't knw the difference between wings and drummettes. The wings were overcooked. They were hard. Second the rice was gummy and over cooked. The shrimp rolls were the only good item from my order. First time going to this place and the absolute last time as well. Highly disappointed. I skipped lunch at work just to eat here. Never again!!!.

Amazingly fragrant and fresh. Having eaten at every thai place in town, I keep coming back to, and comparing everything else to, Thai Cottage. Best Tiger Cry in town and best Tom Yum I’ve ever had anywhere. Currently on a diet to loose 10 pounds so my daily lunch is a bowl of the Tom yum. I simply can not get enough. I get 4 out of five on the spice scale and it’s more than most can handle. I’d recommend 2/5 if you want spicy but easy to handle.
