New York Fish & Chicken Gyro — Restaurant in Belleville

I used to love the food here. I'm not sure what's happened over the last few years to make the quality of the food go down but it has gone down tremendously. I got a philly cheese steak and it was one of the nastiest sandwiches I've ever eaten. I'm not sure what made them put that thick gyro meat on it but it was chewy and disgusting. The time before that I'd gotten wings and they were so tiny i felt like I should've ordered double. The time before that i got a tripe sandwich. They used to be bigger and better. I guess as a place gets older it's quality just starts to dwindle. Unfortunately I'm going to have to find a new spot for my wings, phillys, and tripe. I'm here visiting from AZ for my family reunion, with my 9yro daughter mind you. Hopped on trusty Google to find a local spot. The name caught me, but the reviews held my attention so I read the reviews. All were good, sound like a lot of repeat customers, another good sign. Now, to convince my daughter....lol. I told her let's try something local, something we can't get in AZ. Her response, "do they have chicken tenders," typical 9yro response...lol. If I can give them a 0/5 I would. I wish I would've taken pictures of the food as evidence.. I order a 2 piece catfish 25. Catfish Fillet (2 pc) and a Large Gyro Cheese Fries the food tasted as if it had been sitting out all day absorbing all of the grease it had been cooked in. I had the catfish my husband had the fries he did not eat them because they looked horrific the cheese was curdled and slopped on top and overly seasoned, fries were soggy and not fresh, tasted like fry grease. I got food poisoning eating old greasy fish that they had sitting out and my fries were not fresh either.. I would not be ordering from here again high...
