Did an online order for a philly cheesesteak, loaded steak fries, and (2) different smoothies. Email said it would be ready 5:15ish. Ok cool. Show up to pick up at 5:20 (because online ordering isn't super accurate on wait times as we all know lol) and it still wasn't ready. No big deal, I get it. After an additional 8 minutes, we got our order. When we got home (which is literally a 3 minute drive down the street) everything was ehh. Smoothies didn't taste like anything (got a strawberry banana and a strawberry mango). It tasted like flavored ice with SUPER light syrup. Maybe the fruits used weren't ripe enough or not enough fruit in general? Fries were soft, limp, and not seasoned at all. Philly (which was ordered without peppers and onions) had peppers and onions on it. The steak on the sandwich and on the steak fries was super gristly tasting and gross, and tasted like it had been cooked on a grill coated in cigarette ash. No seasonings on the meat at all. Loaded steak fries had a liquid cheese sauce on it and it was so bland, you couldn't tell it was cheese. My first time eating here and maybe because it was within the hour of closing, all the food tasted like it was from earlier, but to each his own. Lady at the window as super...
Read moreDecided to try the Tropical Breeze Cafe for breakfast after seeing its signs the previous night. Glad we did. Arrived at 8:11 on a Friday and it was empty. Were greeted and given menus, asked to sit anywhere, and return to counter to place our order. What I would call light jazz or jazz was playing over the sound system at a level where my spouse and I could talk to each other. Spouse decided on Avocado BLT and I pick breakfast Flatbread on the menu. We return to the counter to place our order and the server asks "what type of Flatbread?" That wasn't on the menu. Turns out I had a choice of sausage, bacon, or just egg. I chose sausage. As pictured, it also came with egg, cheese, and herbs. Lots of it. If we had known, my spouse and I might have split it. Spouse got a coffee (small - about 12 ounces) and I got a bottled soda (only way they come). Breakfast was served to the table with real stainless. Bus your trash to trash can but don't thrown any plastic baskets. Business was picking up when we left about 8:45 to 9:00 AM....
Read moreWonderful somewhat hidden gem on West Main Street, this place practically serves anything and the wings and bubble tea (aka Boba Tea), is tough to beat. The sandwiches we ordered were also fantastic and the Philly was one of the best we had in a long while. Prices are a bit higher then most other restaurants (though drinks are pretty comparable), but it makes up for it with decent sized portions and very good flavor. With so many options on the menu it's hard to order the same thing twice unless you deliberately tried. Only minor fault and it's not the restaurant's or owners is that pick up is through a walk up window on one side and you have to park on the other side of the building due to the walk up window being on a one way street. Not a huge issue, just something to keep in mind if you are picking up an order rather then dinning in. Overall I rate 5 stars will come back again and recommend this...
