Tornado's Pizza — Restaurant in Belleville

The food here is delicious. I have tried the pizza and I think that is great but I agree with other people that it is thin and not a ton of food for the price you pay. I usually get the cheese bread which is a good amount of food and is delicious. I think the cheese bread and the ranch here taste amazing and this is why I am a long term customer. It is one of the tastiest cheese bread I have had in the area. It looks a lot like hungry howies pizza's cheese bread but tastes way better in my opinion. I believe the prices have gone up twice in the last year definitely at least once but possibly twice on the medium and large cheese bread. So, it is getting to the point where buying it will be too much of a luxury for me. The prices are not the best and I understand inflation and having to compete with other pizza places and growing ingredient prices but the prices for things are getting ridiculous. I recently got delivery, my pizza was here very quickly and the delivery driver was very nice and good at her job. I would continue to go here as it is also extremely close to my home. It does seem like some of the quality has slipped or is continuing to slip over time so I don't know if that is due to new management. I know that there has been new people that work there and continue to work there so maybe that has to do with new management or maybe that is just unrelated. I like the food and I can't necessarily talk about some of the other stuff that the reviewers talk about because I have not tried the salad or anything other than the pizza and cheese bread from them. I would recommend this place at least once and if it ends up not living up to your experience than you could decide not to go back. Best pizza place around, hands down. It took me a while of living in Belleville to find this place but once I did that was that, it is my go to pizza place.

The breadsticks are excellent, they have and excellent texture, and the brush them with the garlic oil in the container so any extra seeps to the bottom and you wind up with free dipping oil.

The pizza also has just the right texture. Its chewy yet crunchy and its oh so good!

The prices are already great and to ice the cake they have coupons that let you save a few bucks more too.

The customer service is excellent, the people are friendly. More then once they have gone out of their way to help me and even bring the pizza outside to me when its done.

To the person leaving a one star review and calling it false advertising, perhaps you have existes under a rock until now. Ive eaten pizza at places literally from California to New York city and "extra cheese" is NOT a topping. Meat, fruit, veggies and other things are, but extra cheese is in its own class everywhere. So its not false advertising, its just a lack of understanding on your part.

Also the last excellent thing about this place is that rhey are close on holidays. While i have wanted pizza on the holidays before, like 4th of July, I love that whoever owns rhe place lets the employees take the day off and spend with their families. I TOTALLY support this. I can go eat sub par pizza elsewhere for a day, and come back for great pizza during normal days. Keep it up!

Very disappointed in there customer service. Ordered a pizza through Slice like always with half pepperoni since eating meat makes me extremely ill. The pizza was delivered with pepperoni on the entire thing. Called to get the situation rectified and Mike the owner told me it wasn’t his problem that I had to call slice. I explain that I have a receipt that shows half pepperoni he says a Tornado’s receipt? I say no your driver didn’t give me one. He says they only give you a receipt if you ask. Ok then Mike how would I have a receipt then? He refuses to help saying it’s not his problem. I call Slice and explain the situation they say they have to call Tornadoes! They come back and say the store offered to remake the pizza or Slice can give me a refund. I explain I don’t want a pizza from a place that makes a paying customer jump through hoops to get what they ordered and that I would no longer be doing business with Tornadoes. They tell me please hold they have to talk to the store. They come back thank me for being a Slice customer and give me a refund. As I finished up my call with Slice Mike calls me offering to remake my pizza if I want to pick it up or if I want it delivered “it will be a while” I explain too little too late and I don’t want his pizza. I thank him for his lack of customer service and hang up. Sorry Mike you just lost a long time customer. Not to mention that in the last year the quality of pizza has went from great to more like a hot n ready or a store bought frozen pizza. Never again Mike,...
