Tokyo Stop Teriyaki — Restaurant in Bellevue

I have never been so disrespected by a restaurant in my life. I came in with my 10 year old son. We ordered two teriyaki meals and a soda. For some reason my card wasn’t connecting with their machine. The older man behind the counter said “it didn’t go through”. I asked him to please run the card again as there must be some kind of mistake. He looked at me and my son and, raised his voice and said “You don’t have any money, it’s not working”. He never even ran the card again and pointed to the exit. I felt humiliated, especially as a single black mother with my child. Nobody should be treated that way. Our day was going so well, we had just came from youth soccer practice at Robinswood. I was in totally shock to be treated so horribly all of the sudden. Especially in the neighborhood I grew up in, and have active businesses in myself. I couldn’t help but hide the tears from my son when we got back into the car. I should have told them how wrong they were then, but I just walked out quietly with my son.

I called my card and everything was fine. We then went directly to Teriyaki and More in eastgate and my card worked just fine. They are always great...

This was our first time eating here. We are visiting bellevue for the weekend. I ordered the tofu miso ramen. Holy cow! The bowl was HUGE! For 11.99 it was an amazing portion. Lots of tofu that was fried to perfection. Also a very generous helping of rice. They dropped an egg inside of the ramen which was a nice touch. The broth was not too salty. The amount of vegetables was impressive too. My son had teriyaki chicken. It was a very large portion as well. Everything was flavored to perfection and it came home steaming hot. The young man behind the counter was so sweet. We dined in and watched a ton of people come in and get carry out orders. He managed everything very well. I will definitely come back next time we visit. I read a lot of reviews of other places near by and this place had so many great ones. I am so glad we choose this place. I didn’t even eat 1/3 of the soup and I probably have two more...

This place stays very busy, I came on a Wednesday night and sat in solo, stayed a while. Parking was no problem and although they don't make food until you order it, they still get people their food very quickly. Not somewhere I'd go for the ambience but love the positive messages that fill the walls here, quotes on canvases everywhere... Scriptures or uplifting quotes, very cheery vibe overall. Excellent chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo. Love that they don't douse the teriyaki in sauce, as many places do. Sauces, including salad dressing, are all on the tables and tea is free while you wait or sit in. Friendly staff. Paid ten and change for my combo without adding a drink but I'd say it's worth it....
