I hadn't been to The Breakfast Nook in years, and it was time to rectify that. I decided on 2 Eggs, 2 Bacon, 2 sausage, 2 regular pancakes, home fries with onions, and an everything bagel instead of toast, all crowned with a piping hot cup of Chai. The eggs, bacon, sausage - all were competently prepared. Bacon was as crisp as I like it, eggs were runny as requested, and as a whole, this core of the meal was perfectly average. No disappointment, no wonder - just good. Same goes for the bagel. It is a basic bagel. It isn't a thick-o New York bagel, nor is it undersized. It reminded me of a bagel from the supermarket. The tea was a bit on the weak side. Served in a metal pot, the water was hot enough to properly brew tea, but there is far too much water for a single tea bag to infuse properly. Unless it is a specialty, I've yet to find a restaurant that manages to get tea right. Now. The pancakes. This is where it is at. Thick, fluffy, almost cake like. I got one with chocolate chips and the other with peanut butter chips. They were perfect. Right now? Breakfast Nook has the best pancakes I have ever had from a restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and the decor/ambiance was what you'd expect - clean and well kept, yet ultimately unremarkable. Despite the pedestrian surroundings and average Breakfast, Breakfast Nook delivers the very best pancakes.

Been eating here for over a decade and The breakfast Nook is still a must in my rotation. The food is reminiscent of sleeping at grandmas house and waking up to the yummiest meal possible cooked by someone who pours love into their craft. With specialties like banana nut bread french toast or Alaskan pouched eggs there's something for everyone, it's reasonably priced and the staff is diligent and friendly! Parking is sketchy but totally worth the effort. Food featured in photos, steak and cheese omelette with home fries and raisin toast along side a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel with cream cheese both plates where delicious! I apologize I don't have a photo of my banana nut bread french toast because it was just that good!

As far as the decor and atmosphere, this Bellingham breakfast place doesn’t go out of it’s way to set itself apart. Being an established favorite with locals, this greasy spoon always has a steady flow even in the face of COVID. The entire staff is laid back, unpretentious, and friendly and they seem to understand the delicate balance between being attentive and being obnoxious. The food is well prepared and they haven’t missed a single of the special requests I always have. An excellent local gem!

I feel like I need to start this review by explaining that my Girlfriend Woke up this morning, after only ever having been here 1 time saying "I want to Go to the breakfast nook!" Our First experience here we got here roughly 10 minutes from their closing time. Having been in the Restaurant business for 15 years I recognized that this was a party foul and told them I would take a menu and Come back another time. The waitress on was an older woman, she insisted we stay and treated us like royalty. We asked if they had Iced Coffee and they did not.(Thinking back on it now I would assume they were out of Iced Coffee being that close to closing) I asked if I could grab my girlfriends Iced Coffee and they were completely fine with it. I am mentioning this because of Our experience today. I called to make sure they were open, I was told "YUP!" then hung up on. I didn't think too much of this because I assumed they were busy. Upon Arriving a sweet little blonde girl sat us and got our drinks. My girlfriend Requested a water being that she had her iced coffee with her. When the waitress walked up she immediately before even saying hello said "Its our policy not to allow outside Beverages into the restaurant. You will have to put that in your car." When I tried to respond and explain the last time we were here they allowed she interrupted me, (Before I could Apologize mind you) And Made us aware of the sign on the Door that said No outside food or beverage. I'm aware I am a hot head. Most of the time Poor Customer service is something that sets me off. So I am aware that at this point after being interrupted I would not have been the most pleasant person. I explained to her that we had dogs in the car, and we weren't putting the coffee in the car, so we could either leave or we could forget about the coffee. She then Stormed off like a 4 year old who didn't get her way and spoke to the manager. The manager(Who never even addressed that there was a problem mind you,) Clearly explained to her that it was not a big deal and asked her to drop it because she came over... Reminded us of the policy then asked us for our order. My girlfriend asked how the Cornbeef Hash came... Her Response? "ON A PLATE" I'm not going to even bother going into the rest of her Failures as an agent of customer service, I feel this CLEARLY represents what I'm trying to get across. The point of my review is simple. This Restaurant is fine, this specific Server is the issue. If you decide to go here ask not to be served by the tall bulimic looking brunette with the bad attitude. And if the breakfast nook reads this? Please explain that "Your Policies" are not ever important enough to argue with a customer. Your pride doesn't earn you tips........ which is the ENTIRE reason you are...

I’m not from Bellingham, I come from Raynham area. I was going up there Sunday morning to run an errand and looked for a place rated good. This was rated. I figured, can’t lose, right? I was wrong. We walked in and it’s about the size of a large living room, small but it was cute. My girl, son-in law and myself waited about 5 minutes while staff continued to walk by, not one, “good morning, it’ll be just a.moment, welcome to the Breakfast Nook” nothing, finally my son in-law asked if we seat ourselves and they said they will seat us when a table is ready. There were three tables empty needing to be cleaned. We were seated by a young girl that barely said hi, just gave us silverware asked if we wanted drinks, coffee, etc. two waters, a coffee and an orange juice. She brought them back in a few minutes, then we sat there for easily over 5 minutes, waitress never came over. An older guy walked in, sat at a table alone next to us, our waitress took his order than came over a few minutes later and said, “Hi, do you know what you would like” not.....”Hello, good morning, welcome to the breakfast nook”. Nothing. We ordered, our food came out in decent time, and we never saw the waitress again. There is a time a server is supposed to do things, everything is so many minutes for this, and that. My girl and I ate 70% of our breakfast with an empty glass of water, no one came and refilled them, son in-law juice empty half his meal. The one who sat us came over and said, “are you all finished? Can take the plates?” Waitress ended up coming over and gave us the check and said, I’ll take it when you’re ready. Not .....”How was everything, did you enjoy breakfast, ?” Nuuuuuuthingggg! The food wasn’t bad, but I haven’t had service that bad in I left a horrible tip and wrote a note on the receipt, worst service ever. I go out to eat all the time, hoooorrrrrible service. Someone needs to train these people how to be friendly, be nice and learn how to earn a tip. I wouldn’t go back if you paid for my meal for free for a month. They must cater to some regulars who think the place is great. Clearly they don’t know. I’ve been greeted better at a 24 hour store at 2 in...

Was told not to come back to this restaurant today unless I take down a review I made a yr ago about this place. I'm in total shock that's how they would treat a customer. I made a truthful review and said excatly what happened that day and this restaurant did not even respond on the review but decides a yr later to say something after our meal. We where driving by and decided to try it again after a year and instead of the manager saying thanks for coming back to try us and I hope you enjoyed your meal she decided to come right up to our table and say don't come back unless you take that horrible review down. Are you serious!!!!! Review was about getting charged for something I did not eat cause it tasted bad and I ordered something else and I got charged for both and was told from the manager that no she wouldn't expect to be charged for both at a restaurant but her her boss makes her do it. So I wrote a review saying you should inform your customers that they will be charged for both meals so that the customer can decide if they want to order something else knowing they will be paying for both. So because I wrote a review and then a yr later give the place another try I'm told to not come back unless i take down review. That what reviews are for and are very common so not sure why a yr later we got told to take it down. The review was the truth why do I have to...
