Veg M — Restaurant in Bellingham

I’m surprised the reviews are so low. It’s not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but it’s definitely not the worst!

Located in a convenient strip mall, the restaurant itself is nice. The employees are friendly and the food is almost always ready when they say it will be. My grandma likes Veg M so we end up coming here often. I’m not sure if there is seating as I’ve never seen anyone eat in. The prices are also very reasonable for Chinese food take out. Grandma and I have tried and liked the fried raviolis, combination dinners, crab Rangoon, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, etc.

This time she had the beef lo mein and I tried the combo B. I enjoyed the pork fried rice, it tasted very fresh. Their crab rangoons and beef teriyaki were also wonderful. I did think the chicken fingers were a little too greasy this time though. Grandma loves their egg drop soup thought the beef lo mein was great too.

My first experience with this place was amazing, but unfortunately my second experience was rough. A near 3 hour wait time from order placed, to actual delivery. I was hesitant to try them out again, and went over a year before ordering from them again.

However, they have since greatly improved. All of their staff & drivers have been very nice, and their food is by far, some of the best Chinese takeout that I've had. I've updated my review to reflect the quality level of this place. If you want some reeaallyyyy good takeout, I recommend this place whole heartedly. There's up to an hour wait at times, but it's worth it if you want top notch food.

Though, as a heads up, if you want the pork fried rice with all the fixins, not the bear bones stuff, order it on the side. They skimp out on the pork fried rice that comes with the combo meals. That's the only negative experience I've had since I gave them another chance. But it's made up by the quality of the meat & how good their service...

The M in Veg M is for mmmmmm! Would give 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could. I'm so happy I gave this place a try as it is now my go-to place for Chinese food even though it's 20 minutes away and I pass 4 other Chinese food places along the way. 👋 The Pad Thai with shrimp is excellent, as is the Ho Fun and Lo Mein. All are reasonably priced with ample portions, including the lunch specials. Unlike most other places, they don't skimp on the shrimp. The Pad Thai had about 15-18 medium-sized shrimp in it. 🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤🍤 All the food is well prepared. Everything is fresh and tasty. 😋 The crab rangoons are a bit smaller than most, but they are better than most other places too, so they are still well worth it. Great won ton soup too.
