Mak's Roast Beef And Pizza Bellingham — Restaurant in Bellingham

I'm going to have to amend my review. The first year I lived here, I was a weekly customer. The pizza quality was consistent. This past year, I've had too many disappointments. My pizzas had very little cheese. I ordered a little extra cheese by phone. I go to pick it up and it's very heavy. There had to be 3 pounds of cheese on it. By the time I got it home, it was a mess. I tried again without extra cheese. One was great, and the next was nearly cheeseless. Same thing the next couple of orders. I'd ask for garlic and either didn't get it or got too much. I'd ask for Jalapeños on half and didn't get the pepperoni. I tried the extra cheese again and got another mess. Stopped going for several months. I decided to try again. I asked for a large pepperoni with a little extra cheese. I got a pizza with not much cheese and literally 10 pepperonis. Last week was my last shot. I called and ordered a large pepperoni and a Greek salad. I got a large, barely cheese pizza, zero pepperoni, and a not so fresh salad. I quit. I love the crust, but apparently, they don't follow a standard recipe. A lg pizza has roughly a pound of cheese plus a little extra. An extra cheese will add 8 oz. They goofed up the sauce a few times, too. They can't get a simple pizza order straight. All I want is a large pepperoni pizza with the right amount of sauce and cheese. I'd love roasted garlic cloves, too, but... I'm sorry, guys. I order pizza every Friday but no longer at Mak's...

I went here on a suggestion by a mechanic that was working on my car. so the items I ordered were lg .The chicken bomb with buffalo lg. jalapeno poppers & lg french fries the french fries were ok fried just right but they remind me to much of burger king fries just without the salt. not worth 5.99 since large was more like a Medium the poppers had cheddar in them which i love BUT at 10.99 for a large order i figure i should have gotten 10 or 12 . but i got 8. you can go to any other place that sells them and they will be 3$ cheaper. the chicken bomb sandwich was interesting to say the least but i didn't get to taste any of it. and that is because the buffalo sauce drowned my sandwich. and I love buffalo sauce but this wasn't buffalo. it was a little buffalo mixed with a ton of Sriracha sauce. The smell was so strong that I barely was able eat it and after that i had stomach issues for the rest of the day. Not worth the 27$ that it cost 1 star for friendliness 1 star for quick service -1 star for price -1 star for food amount -1 star for making me sick to my stomach for the rest of the day so 2...

Over charge - over charge - over charge - heartburn

After looking at the on-line menu, I phone ordered a large Mak's Special pizza. I asked if I could do an even swap, substituting one topping for another and was told no problem. When I picked up the pizza, it was over $5 more than it should have been. The cashier said the price went up $2 but they didn't change the menu. Taking out my calculator, I determined I was still being overcharged and it turned out to be an extra topping. I asked her to removed that per our phone conversation. Next she ran my credit card and I saw a $0.50 fee for that. Coming to my breaking point I told her to void that credit charge and I'll pay with cash. After being told the cash price, I was still being overcharged and showed her the math including MA meals tax. She shrugged her shoulders and said that's what it comes out to. I finally paid up and later determined they are charging everyone the wrong MA meals tax rate.

As for the pizza, although the flavor was good, it was soggy on the bottom and gave me bad heartburn. Last time...
