I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for over three years and I always get the same thing: jumbo barbecue wings with steak fries, two blue cheese, and one extra barbecue. My total was $33 and I tipped the delivery driver $7, so I paid $40 in cash. When my food arrived, the wings were plain. No barbecue sauce at all. I called the restaurant and asked if they could either refund me for the wings or send me the correct order. The man on the phone said they couldn’t because they didn’t have a delivery driver. He claimed the person who delivered my food was just his friend and she couldn’t come back. That was a lie, because that woman is always the one who delivers to me. She works there. I’ve seen her face many times. I’ve tipped her multiple times. She’s not some random friend. I told him that’s not my fault and reminded him that I don’t have a car. That’s the whole reason I ordered delivery and tipped her well. He told me I could come to the restaurant and he’d fix it there. I said again that I don’t have a car and can’t just go pick it up. He kept making excuses and trying to make it seem like the mistake was my fault, even though I order the same thing every time. That’s when I started recording the call. He asked if I was recording and I said yes, because iPhones announce when a call is being recorded. As soon as I said yes, he told me he would call me back and hung up. He never called me back. I called again about 10 minutes later. He said someone would come bring me barbecue sauce. But that wasn’t the issue. The problem wasn’t that I needed a side of sauce. The wings themselves were made wrong. I don’t eat plain wings with sauce on the side. I paid for barbecue wings, not dry wings and a cup of sauce. The driver eventually came with the sauce but I didn’t even go downstairs. I’m not going to eat this food. I paid $40 cash and now I’m stuck with a messed up order, no refund, no replacement, and a restaurant that lied to me and refused to take responsibility. This is not the way you treat loyal customers. I’ve supported this business for years. I’m beyond disappointed.

Another local restaurant that takes no pride in the food they cook. Got a calzone with pepperoni through Grubhub. Menu said the calzone was monz and ricotta plus 1 topping. There was plenty of Monz. Ricotta was completely absent. I’m searching for a good calzone in RI. Starting to think they don’t exist. Got my hopes up when I found a restaurant that actually uses ricotta. Then they didn’t use it. Pepperoni was in there but most bites had none. Some bites had 1 layer and that’s the best you got. See picture. Sauce with the calzone was good and if they had more pepperonis and used ricotta like they say they do it would probably be pretty good. That said I’m pretty sure this is a restaurant that does not care about the food they produce. Or they wouldn’t have sent out what they did. Chicken tenders (boneless wings) were Awful. Overcooked and tough to chew threw. When I say overcooked I mean they were probably cooked twice as long as needed. Thinner portions were inedible.

Located in the shopping center near Stop and Shop. Not many nearby parking spaces, but parking is not hard to find considering its next to Stop and Shop's huge parking lot. Staff is not bad, even when it's busy. I have never had issues with this place, but feel bad for those who have. Mistakes happen, its how the restaurant deals with those mistakes that really matter. Massachusetts has a lot of pizza places and a lot of them are pretty average, but the pizza here is pretty good. Don't order smaller than a large if you don't want thin crust. The wings here are good too, not super soggy like Domino's. They used to have Nuclear hot wings and fried pickles that were to die for. Maybe they'll bring it back. I recommend this place to others. Also, place your order ahead if able.

I cannot even begin to describe the sheer level of incompetence and rudeness of the owner of this establishment. Let me preface this review by saying that this is not the first negative experience I have had with Pizza Queen and I am not one to leave negative reviews in general. I placed an order tonight at 7:50pm and received a confirmation email that I would receive my order in 30-45 minutes. After an hour and a half went by, I called to get an update on the order and I was assured that the driver was on their way. We only live five minutes from the restaurant, so I was concerned when it still did not arrive. After another ten minutes I called again to see what the status was. At that point, the owner asked us to hold and you could hear him SCREAMING at his associates. After a few awkward moments of his incoherent yelling, he told us that they were bringing the food but there would still be a delay. At this point, it was an hour and fifty minutes from when I placed my order. Given that the restaurant failed to deliver on their promise, I requested a refund for the inconvenience. The owner scoffed at this and said that I “needed to meet him half way” and offered 30% off of a future order and recommended that I only order pick-up in the future since he cannot guarantee a delivery time. Again, I reiterated that this was not an acceptable resolution as I had waited nearly two hours for an order and I was the one who had to reach out for an update on the order. Plus, I am an essential healthcare employee so I do not go out in public unnecessarily as I do not want to potentially expose anyone, so telling me not to order delivery isn’t helpful. I am a very understanding person, but this is NOT the first time this has happened with Pizza Queen. Their tardiness and lack of professionalism started far before the COVID crisis. The worst part of this entire ordeal is that the owner of the restaurant didn’t even apologize or acknowledge that his team was in the wrong. Take your business elsewhere unless you have hours upon end to wait around for...

Where do I start! I’ve been ordering from Pizza Queen for years and have got to know the owner and drivers well (maybe I order too often!). The whole experience is just great. The food is fresh and priced right. Remember all the supply chain issues? Stores were Increasing prices 40%+, not them. They honored their posted prices and were transparent if an item was too expensive to sell. Remember the staff shortage? They told you as soon as you called the wait time for delivery vs the speed of pick up. Have special dietary needs, they’ll help you with that if they can or suggest a substitution. I like to order my lunch salad for the next day and they pack it up so it will hold fresh with the protein on the side. With all the struggles for the last few years, remember those in the hospitality industry struggled more than others and local eateries like Pizza Queen stayed open to keep people fed and employed. I for one appreciate the service, quality and hospitality. Stop in...
