I ordered no onion no garlic food for 30 ppl. To my surprise, the food was tasting much better than the regular food and it was tasting as good as home made food. Very neatly presented , very satisfying to the stomach. Every single guest praised the taste & quality of food. Generally, in most restaurants the papad/deep fried food smells and feels oily as it is usually fried in the left over oil, but at Swagath there was barely any oil , it was fresh for two days and the taste was amazing. I also went to return the serving trays and happened to try some of their a la carte items, and it was the best Indian food I ever tasted in the US. The couple who manage the restaurant are the sweetest people I met so far. They packed me pickles, gunpowder , carrot cake & tiny vadas for my daughter. Infact my daughter went into the kitchen and started going around the place while she was offered so many things to eat. I also noticed that the kitchen was extremely neat & organised.I realised that the best part about this restaurant is the passion, love & interest the couple takes to cook food & no wonder it tastes so good. Thank you Nagendra & Latha...
Read moreHello Nagendra Ji-
Thank you so much for catering food for the Satyanarayan Pooja at our place.
All the items you prepared were on spot.
The veggie cutlets were a hit both among kids and adults. Very crispy and tasty. The size was just perfect, not too big or too small. Thank you for providing the sauce along with it. Everyone relished the cutlet with the sauce.
Veg kadhai was great with right amount of veggies and the gravy, not too thick to feel dry or not too thin like curry.
Kaju paneer was very very yummy, as you had promised. Paneer was very soft and just melted in mouth like butter. Very rich and delicious dish.
Punjabi dal tadka was the show stopper. Everyone really praised the dal and surely took a second serving of it. Thanks for packing it in a big vessel and providing extra trays.
The rice was great as well, cooked perfectly with each grain separate.
Overall, all our guests were happy and satisfied with the food as were we. The quantities of food you provided were ample and we never felt we would run out of it inspite of it being so delicious.
Thanks again, we would definitely cater food from you for our...
Read moreIn a word...phenomenal! There are a lot of really good Indian restaurants in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts area, but this is certainly the most authentic-tasting (lived in New Jersey for 10 years and married to a Gujarati woman, so had a lot of Indian food in the past!) This little restaurant is really big on flavor.
To start, the restaurant is a very clean place to eat. We were greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He is clearly very passionate about his restaurant and it was a pleasure to meet him.
For the food, I had the chole bhature, samosa chaat and we split the paneer hot dog. The flavors were just fantastic! Now, I usually don't like dosa and won't order it when we go out, but after trying a bite of my wife's I ordered my own. It is easily the best dosa I've ever tasted! The taste and texture were just fantastic.
We had an excellent dining experience here and will certainly be coming back....a lot! Great food at a reasonable price....
