I really wanted to like this place. They have good reviews, and it was a decent location for us to meet a friend for dinner. It wasn't the worst dining experience I've ever had but the waitress seemed like she didn't really know what she was doing. She admitted to not knowing the menu and when I asked if they carried hard cider she just responded with "I'm not sure" instead of "let me check". No big deal, I'll just have a water.
What really bothered me is when I asked what was in one of the dishes on the vegetarian menu that made it not vegan and if I could order this meal made vegan. I nicely explained what vegan is and when she responded "I don't know" I had to ask if she wouldn't mind talking to the chef to find out. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, isn't that her job?? When she returned she gave me this long speach about how the dish wouldn't really taste the same since they would have to remove the fish sauce. FISH SAUCE is NOT vegetarian!! I explained this to her in the nicest way I could (it's not her fault) and encouraged her to inform the manager that fish sauce does not belong is vegetarian meals and that they are misleading people. I ended up ordering a papaya salad, which typically comes at a level 3 spice. Not wanting too spicy I asked for a level 2. I know I'm white, but I like spice. I took about 5 small bites and had to excuse myself to the bathroom. It was one of the spiciest meals I've ever tasted. The heartburn that night was awful. When the waitress noticed I had barley touched the papaya salad, she asked how it was, I said "unbearably spicy". I then got another long speech about how the spice for this salad is more intense than the spice for other dishes. Ummm if they're aware of this being the case wouldn't you adjust based on the difference?? My husband and friend both tried the salad and agreed that it felt like a level 4 spicy. Again not my worst dining experience, but I won't be returning and I would urge all vegan and...
Read morehe management here is incredibly impolite and unprofessional. i called into the store and ordered a chicken pad thai and received satay chicken, which is an understandable misunderstanding over the phone. however, when i returned to the store to have my order fixed i was berated and belittled by the manager. i had paid for the chicken that i did not order and only owed $5 in difference and the manager was trying to charge me $13.95 for the chicken pad thai that i did not order. he at first told me i was wrong, then brought out his calculator, which in front of him proved i was correct and only owed $5. the chicken satay i paid for originally that i did not order i paid $8.95 for, and chicken pad thai is $13.95. he tried to tell me that the chicken pad thai was $15.95 , and when i opened the menu to show him that he was blatantly lying he proceeded to offer me $4 in cash from the tip jar on the bar which was for the girl who was at the bar. after i said no, i will not take this money because this was a tip that was earned, he continued to belittle me by asking me if this was my business and if i had the right to run it. he then told me to never return. i am extremely disappointed with my experience with this restaurant because their food is good! i will not be returning because of the poor...
Read moreI recently visited Thai Chada and was blown away by the delicious food and excellent service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and made to feel welcome. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, and we were able to have a quiet and intimate conversation throughout our meal. The menu had a great selection of Thai dishes, and it was difficult to decide what to order because everything looked so good. We ultimately decided to try the drunken noodles with beef and crispy pork. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavors were bold and authentic. The portion sizes were generous and we left feeling satisfied and full. the service was top-notch. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He was also knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations based on our preferences. Overall, Thai Chada exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning for more delicious Thai food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Thai...
