Too salty to eat! Went to Tandoori Bites, to order take out in person. The bar is split from the dining room, and you enter at the lobby. Three people who worked there were in the main lobby (no customers) and one asked what I wanted. I said to order takeout, and a man told me to go to the other side. I did, and after a minute or two one of the women came over to take my order. Food is pricey, so I ordered 1 Lamb Korma and an order of vegetable samosas to go, to split between two people. It was just over $35. The food was prepared in less than 10 minutes, and I took it home. The samosas were so salty, I could not eat them. They are coated with salt on the outside. I am enclosing a picture of one. I ended up scooping out the vegetable mix from the inside, and just eating that. The chutneys were also salty. The lamb korma came with plain basmati, and the rice was plain and tasted good, had a nice texture. The lamb korma was also too salty. The only flavors were salt and chili powder. Not much subtlety at all. Won't be returning to Tandoori Bites, and will just stick with a Taste of India out on Meridian.

Don’t listen to this guy in glasses at front regarding anything in the menu. He just spoiled this place for me. Iam never coming back (Chilli chicken is really bad ). Answer to the owner: Ok so you are saying your food will loose freshness after 15 mins then? And please read the comment properly I am complaining about the food that I have ordered (chili chicken) as your guy told me that the chilli chicken will be good as I was changing it for a different dish when I was ordering on call. He assured me that it will be good with gravy but its all Sause in there and he was wrong. And the way you say it in the response sounds like your guy already told me that it tastes bad but still enjoy the food. Rather than backing up on comments please concentrate on the food and people who order them.

Wonderful Indian place around the area. Garlic Naan was delicious delightfully crisp, a perfect thickness. Vegetable samosas were delicious as well with both the green and purple sauces, just a touch of salt in the dough to keep things interesting. I was absolutely in love with the butter chicken, however. The blend of spices was perfect, as well as the chicken that was so tender you could cut it with a spoon. Medium spice is a wonderful amount of heat, even though I could have gone up one step more. I had also started with an Indian beer, first time I had ever seen Indian beer in an Indian restaurant. When all was said and done I still had a good amount of butter chicken and rice left to enjoy another time...which I had!

TANDOORI BITES IS THREATENING TO SUE ME OVER THIS POST. This sort of behavior is not what customers want to see, and only makes the business look borderline incompetent. I was already planning on never coming back, so thank you Tandoori Bites for reaffirming that to me. To be honest, it was written in frustration, but all my points hold true. I have rewritten this post to give a more detailed account, and better explain my feelings. Looking at other negative posts, these people cannot handle negative reviews, and try to move the blame onto the customer, or previous owner.

Overpriced, rude, and prejudiced staff. My boyfriend and I went out for dinner tonight and told me about how delicious the food was. We waited for a few minutes in the entrance, before realizing you need to go into another room to meet the host. We were seated and we were probably alone for 15 minutes, without any water. The booth we sat in was small and uncomfortable. The waiter came and took our order. He acted like we had no idea what we were ordering, and was rude when we asked questions about the food. In the middle of ordering our food, several south Asian men came into the restaurant, which became the servers main attention. He was very friendly to them, and immediately sat them. This did not sit right with me and my bf. After he seated them, he came back to us and we continued ordering. It took my boyfriend 30 minutes for his drink to arrive, 40 minutes for just the appetizers, and ONE HOUR for my drink. I asked about my drink when the food arrived, they dismissed me and said it would be right out. That was a lie. A different person was serving our drinks, and seemed to be doing nothing most of the time. The food was fine, but not worth the price. We were hoping to get dessert here, but the experience was so bad we decided it would be better to go elsewhere. My boyfriend was disappointed that this place that this place was not as good as it once was. We went to pay, and the server ignored us the first time when we rang the bell. And reluctantly came when we rang it again.

Never...

Went in after reading a lot of reviews. Initially was impressed by the decor and was hoping that it would be a great experience but unfortunately was very disappointed with almost everything. Food was served very quickly, around within 5 minutes of placing the order, which makes me believe that it was pre-cooked and not fresh, they just reheated it and served it, which is not normally the essence of an Indian restaurant. One of the dish was good and other was really bad so it neutralizes the good one. Funny part is that they served the food in 5 minutes but we had to wait for 15 minutes to pay our bill, after requesting the server to present us the bill.

Worst part is, they are giving 7% discount to guys who are paying in cash and are charging a surcharge of 3% to the people who are paying by card. Seriously does it make any sense. Is it really legal? Aren’t they scamming us or for that matter the Govt by evading taxes on the cash receipts. I already found the food very expensive as compared to the prices at the other place, plus you have to pay an additional charge of 3%. On top of it when the server presented the bill they have this large screen on their tapping machine, which has a pre-populated tip %age, at first impression it seems that there is no option to escape that, it seems that you have to compulsorily pay the tip. Though I was not very keen on tipping but since I was in rush and couldn’t see that there’s a custom tip option, somewhere at the bottom corner (It has been strategically placed to make you feel and believe that you are doing a great injustice if you are not tipping), so ended up paying 18% over the food cost, which is insane and totally uncalled for. Not worth...

Hi, I first came to this here Tandoori Bites a year ago with my seven year old daughter and nine year old son. My children were begging me for some food other than Boomer's. I, being the good father that I am, gave into their desires and took them to a place I'd been recommended by many friends. The friends had recommended it for its great food, generous serving sizes, and extraordinary service. Over time, unfortunately, the quality of this establishment has drastically declined. For example, the takeout plates they had originally were about 23 ounces compared to the new 16-ounce cups. I've heard that this is due to new management. In fact, I've seen many other manifestations of this new management. It is consistently understaffed with a only a poor overworked teenager working his butt off for minimum wage. The only reason I still come here is because I pity the boy and feel that he needs my support through tips, but I still love the food. I can only imagine the stress he's under if he's also going to college. Also, in the entryway, there's pretty new buffet. However, it remains unused for seemingly no reason. I've asked about it, but it seems that they don't plan on using it anytime soon and it's merely a disappointing decoration to make the place look nicer. I would greatly recommend taking your money to a place with corners uncut and where serving sizes remain plentiful like I remember them.

P.S. Please take down the fake five star reviews. It's not...
