The viking commons is essentially a buffet, with some things always being available like paninis and salads. During the beginning of each meal (according to their schedule) is the best time to get pizza, which is decent and hamburger that leave much to be desired. They also have a desert section which's soft serve ice cream machine is down most of the time. The nutritional info is always posted but not always matching. They have a wide variety of drinks but not all work all the time and they're not post which are. There isn't a trash anywhere easy to get to and the drink dispenser on the far side or left looking at the windows usually is lacking in just about everything. Both dispensers usually don't have ice. During the end of meals, hamburgers and pizza aren't available.

The food isn’t fantastic but for all you can eat it’s pretty good. I really enjoy the cheese quesadillas and the fries. I would also highly recommend the cereal. Great stuff. The view of the water is also breathtaking. I love going in the morning and watching the sun rise over the water.

the food is NEVER decent. they serve dry and raw food. clearly rotton and black vegetables. the only edible food are their frozen bagged fries.

You're required to have a meal plan if you're living on campus. That's ridiculous, especially when this is one of the only places to redeem the 80+ meals loaded onto it.

The food isn't amazing and the selection is terrible. There needs to be better supply. They claim to provide foods for all diets but are running out of foods too frequently because of how many students they're serving.

The view is good, but I often take my meals to go anyways. Speaking of to-go's, they charge a one-time $8 fee to get a to-go container, then charge $1 on top of taking 1 meal from your account every time you say you're getting to go, even if you already brought the container.. Why? I'm probably eating less than somebody else getting all-you-can-eat from dine-in because the container has set portion sizes.

I really do wish that when the online menu says that deli meat and other stand-alone proteins are provided, that they'd actually be provided in person. I've gone here almost 10 times now and not once did they have deli meat or shredded...

I am a current student at WWU and I wish I could be giving 0 stars. Rude employees, bad food, have gotten food poisoning from here. Tired of getting served bad food none the less. Have had meat where blood could have filled the plate. Pork was cold and grey. DO NOT eat their meat unless if you can heat up the food at the very least. Or just don't eat the meat at all. Everything is always questionable. I have found plastic in my food. Also, if you live on campus you are forced to have a meal plan!! Absolutely ridiculous. Only good thing about the viking commons is the great view. When there are tours going on they make the food look more fancy than it actually is. Everyone complains how they should be giving us nice food most of the time. Especially during finals week! We deserve good food, especially for paying a pretty penny for meals that taste like...

Eww this food sucks not really a great value at all even if it is all you care to eat. They let you eat as much as you want but you will not want to after tasting their poor quality , mass produced food that pales in comparison to regular microwave dinners. They had mexican and Asian food that tasted too salty and bland. For example the mexican rice that was part of their taco salad dish was mushy and tasted watery um gross. Not too mention some of this food tastes like it sits out for long periods of time and isn't fresh and barely anything is locally sourced.. I feel bad for people who live in university housing since they are forced to buy a meal plan for the dining halls at WWU. I got sick of this food after one time just visiting the campus for a tour. But this doesn't suprise me they are run by Aramark a company that supplies food...
