We drove into Waco today to run errands and stopped to get some chicken. What we got was a HORRENDOUS customer service experience.
The drive-thru operations at this Bushes is one of the WORST I have ever seen …. Usually you get what you pay for and I understand that but we didn’t even get the chance to eat the food.
We sat in the drive through for roughly 10-15 minutes. 10 minutes of this was sitting in front of the drive through window while not one person took our order. There were roughly 12 employees working the front, 4 of which made eye contact and chose to “look busy” doing something else. The gentlemen “working” the drive through stood in the corner (one in view,) on their phones and hands in pockets with no gloves. After the second or third eye contact with no acknowledgement; he chose to go take his bare hands and open EVERY box on the food line and move around the pieces of chicken with the SAME BARE HANDS. (Those food boxes then got delivered to the cars in front of me.)
There were other employees walking back and forth from the front counter to the back to vape (while making passing eye contact, with no acknowledgement.)
Finally the other drive through gentleman took the food box to the truck in front of us who had pulled up to wait on food WHEN we got there. Before the worker went back inside he proceeded to give me a thumbs up to ask if I am “good”. I threw my hands up in disbelief as to what I had just dealt with in its entirety.L; and that being the first acknowledgment of me being there.
He then asked me to pull up to order food and I asked him why we sat there for 10 minutes while no one took our order and his response, with shrugged shoulders was, “I thought he took your order.” LIKE THEY WEREN’T STANDING THERE TALKING TO EACH OTHER THE ENTIRE TIME!!!
I was in pure shock with the lack of care and respect. Hell, you could at least pretend you care about customer service.
In that moment, with no words as to what to say, and not trusting the food I would be getting would be safe, I left.
I have never seen an establishment have 20 plus kids working at one time and not one of them care to monitor the drive through, or give any bit of order whatsoever.
Food safety was of NO concern!! Truthfully, they would be better short staffed and providing quality service than hiring the circus they had in there.

Last night at 9:21 P.M. we ordered a 6 piece chicken tenders that was to come with a roll and a gravy and a three piece all white, my wife told her she wanted 2 breast and a wing. The lady known only to us as Cashier #3 kept repeating my wife's order and each time would get something wrong, meanwhile my wife grew more and more upset with her. She finally repeated it correctly then told me it would be about $24 so I gave her a twenty and a five. When she returned she gave me back my change and the food. What I received was five small tenders and one normal size, a roll and no gravy, my wife got two thighs and a wing. My wife then told me to go back, she is not eating what she did not order. The same girl came out and my wife told her the problems with her order and the waitress complained saying that it would cost her more money. My wife told her just to take the food and bring her at least on breast and a wing, which she did. I asked the lady how much for just one breast and she said two dollars so I paid her and she brought the chicken out to my wife. I didn't notice the gravy missing on my order until after I left. I phoned the number on the receipt but it said the mailbox was full so I couldn't even leave a message and there was no website mentioned at all. Read moreOther then the young man who took my order the experience was a joke. He was amazing, but we returned home to find French fries and okra so cold it wasn't edible. It was rubbery and chewy. Chicken was cold and forgot the jalapeño I was charged for. Being in the service industry myself I am very forgiving and really am patient to longer waits and slower service. I decided to call back that evening, ( I always just let it go). As I was telling the manager what we received she was kind and apologetic, she slowly asked for my name and asked what could resolve this. I only wanted the cold or old food replaced. She replied, no problem and again.Put my name in the book. Well, today I called to see if they would honor this, i was told there was nothing in the book so I must be mistaken, I was told this more then 1 time. After put on hold she came back to relay a message from her GM that sorry nothing is in the book. I just proceeded hang up the phone in frustration. Needless to say, I feel like i'm doing the right thing by just letting it slide.And then when I try to have a company, make right for food that was not even edible it backfires also.
