Title: Disappointed by Dairy Queen’s Pup Cup Pricing
I’ve always enjoyed a trip to Dairy Queen, but my recent experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Charging $1.75 for a pup cup? Really, DQ? It’s not about the money; it’s the principle. For what’s essentially less than a quarter’s worth of product, this charge feels like a blatant rip-off.
The reason why places give out free pup cups is simple—it’s good marketing. It’s a small gesture that brings families in and encourages them to buy more. It shows you care about your customers and their furry friends. It’s a win-win: happy pets, happy owners, and more business for you. But charging $1.75 for a tiny pup cup feels like bending over the customer at every opportunity.
I’m not going back to Dairy Queen. Instead, I’d rather drive across town to Katie’s Frozen Custard and happily spend $30 on ice cream for my family. At least there, I know I’m getting my money’s worth and not being nickel-and-dimed over something as simple as a treat for my dog.
Dairy Queen, if you want to keep loyal customers and draw new ones in, maybe rethink your pup cup policy. Until then, I’ll be enjoying my ice...

Read moreThey always either mess up our orders or give us melted icecream cones or blizzards. Awful service. We had ordered a snicker blizzard, banana split, and a dip ice cream cone. Well all 3 were melted, the snicker blizzard wasn't even a snicker blizzard it was something else. When I told the lady who had done the ice cream she said it was the snicker blizzard and said she had already clean the machine(meaning she wasn't even going to bother to change it) by the way the snicker blizzard had a whole bunch of cinnamon thats how i knew it was not the snicker blizzard and was lacking the pieces of snicker. Our ice cream cone was melting and she was just giving it to us like that, so was the other stuff. The lady who took our order did not mess up at all and was nice but the lady who was making our order seemed to just want to get out of there and didn't seem to care...
