Eastern Lamejun Bakers — Restaurant in Belmont

Very dissatisfied with the attitude of the checkout clerk during my most recent visit to this store. I don't expect red carpet treatment nowadays in any store; but I have noticed that although the food here is good, the staff has developed an attitude.

When the checkout clerk handed me the credit card receipt to sign, I hesitated (and explained to her exactly why), because I didn't see the total amount that I was responsible for. She brusquely pointed to the slip and said "there it is".... although the spot that she pointed to was not at all where the total was.

Then she told me, in a disrespectful and scolding manner, "We have a line of other customers here waiting to pay!".

(There were only 2 other customers in the line at the time.... hardly a "crowd"!!)

All I can say is that apparently my modest order of $21 wasn't large enough (???) to merit respect from her. I will take my multi-year business to Massis (where the lamejuns are $3 cheaper per dozen, and where the service must be more respectful).

You've seen the last of Ron Ezekian at your Eastern Lemejun store, because of your rotten, disrespectful attitude. I hope others will also hold you to a higher standard than what you displayed to...

We visited Eastern Lamejun Bakers on Saturday and loved everything about it! The staff were incredibly friendly, and it was our first time trying Armenian food — everything looked and tasted amazing. We especially enjoyed the lentil keofta, meat lamejun, preserved figs and apricots, and sesame cookies. This visit made us want to learn more about Armenia’s unique culture, language, and cuisine, which are distinct from Turkey’s. I personally love this kind of handmade, homestyle food — simple, honest flavors you could enjoy every day. Highly recommend this place if you love discovering new tastes! Called to find they no longer shipped but I was determined to send food to my cousin in PA.who was recently diagnosed with cancer I spoke to a lovely woman on the phone and she said she would help me pack. I arrived with a shipping cooler the next day and a dozen eggs from my hens to show my appreciation . I drove up from Cape Cod and they could have not been more helpful. Lovely people. Sent me home with lentil kufta which was delicious as my gift My cousin was sooo appreciative she has called me to say how wonderful all the food was.
