Kinda disappointed with this place. I would give five stars for the friendliness of the staff and their service, but minus 2 for other issues. First thing I noticed when I went in was a heavy unpleasant smell. It mostly smelled like beer but I don't think that was the only reason cuz I've been to too many places that serve alcohol and none smelled stuffy. However after a while you just get used to it and I liked that the waitress was really helpful in getting us a booster seat for our toddler and a new set of crayons and a paper, so it's definitely a kids-friendly place. Regarding the food, their chicken wings and parmesan bread were really fine, but I also ordered a mac and cheese which tasted anything other than mac and cheese. It was not bad but it was not baked as I was expecting and it was more like a penne tossed in a bland cheese mixture, I even don't know how a five cheese sauce could be that tasteless. We should probably tried their pizzas rather than...
Read moreI was really looking forward to visiting Stone Hearth Pizza again after being away for a while — it used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We arrived and were seated, but sat there for about 10 minutes without even being offered a menu or a glass of water. Meanwhile, the staff seemed more focused on chatting with people they knew rather than acknowledging new customers.
For the prices they charge, we expected much better service and a more welcoming atmosphere. It felt like the place had changed — the warm, attentive vibe I used to love just wasn’t there anymore. After waiting and feeling ignored, we decided to leave and went down the street to Gregory’s, where we were greeted immediately, treated kindly, and even paid less for better service.
Sadly, I won’t be rushing back to Stone Hearth anytime soon. It’s disappointing to see a place that used to be great lose the care and attention that...
Read moreThe pizza was good, but only for a grown up. It's a bit fancy and I like that, but my five year old went completely hungry! We then ordered mac and cheese, going for the simplest thing that's impossible to screw up, but it was inedible - hardish large pasta with a cheese that's possibly fancy but tastes bitter. Even I couldn't eat it. This is the first dinner in years where we had to go home and feed my daughter another dinner. The max and cheese wasn't particularly cheap - total waste of money and they didn't offer to discount it since we clearly found it incredible. Oh, and they have a steak knife to my five year old. It's a fairy nice place and I did like the pizza, but the pizza alone left me hungry because it's so thin. I give it four stars, but it is in no way ok for young kids. We won't...
