Asian Kitchen Thai Ramen — Restaurant in Belton

After reading the reviews online I figured I would give this place a try I was looking for good Asian food. I ordered the potstickers for an appetizer they were deep-fried and because the place was so busy they were dry and overcooked. I got the crispy duck which really grossed me out because it was mostly just duck-fat I had to look really hard for any duck meat at all, then I had to pull the meat away from the fat so it wasn't crispy it was just duck meat. I will not order it again. The Udon noodles with pork was delicious. If you order from this place I highly recommend doing take out instead of eating in that side of the restaurant seemed to get a priority over the customers that were sitting in the restaurant. One slight word of caution I am very sensitive to MSG after eating here I had a really bad reaction severe headache. If you order and are sensitive to MSG you need to ask to have your food prepared without it. It has been so long since I had authentic Asian food I forgot to ask. Nice dacor inside very clean and friendly wait staff. It was just over busy restaurant for the amount of people they have working there. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it was a very long wait before I got my food. And there was only one waitress on a Friday night I noticed everyone else was waiting for their food for a long time but take out people were getting their food when they walked in the door after ordering on the phone or online. Update review on new menu- So this is definitely new owners and it's all completely different so try not to compare to the old Asian kitchen. That said definitely give it a try! I got the sesame chicken lunch special, the food was good, I feel like I got more meat, less rice, and less veggies than the previous menu. I didn't get enough sauce so my broccoli was dry and I only got 2 pieces of it which was a little disappointing but they definitely made up for it with a good bit of meat. I will be trying more dishes in the future. The new menu is simple for the most part but the lunch menu is a bit confusing. I will say I was very upset with how the switch to this change was handled. All of a sudden they were closed and at one point the voicemail just said "we are closed... Um now... And we will re open soon" that was it. I think if y'all had said something about being under a menu reconstruction and that it was under new management and to look forward to the changes it would have been a smoother transition. People are confused about what happened which could have people...

Tried for the first time since they had a change in ownership. I ordered the Thai Chicken fried Rice. It was excellent. Many times, with this type of food, the rice is overcooked and dry, the meat tough. You have to add this sauce or that sauce to try and moisten it to be edible. Not this plate.

THIS dish was moist and tasty throughout. I didn't have to add anything and it was great. I normally eat half and save the other for a snack or next meal. This time I ate the whole plate in one sitting. It was that good.

I asked for it to be cooked spicy 4/5. The dish had a pleasant bite of chili pepper. I will have to try 5/5 heat next time.
