I hate giving less than stellar reviews but I have to remind myself this is the only way management/ownership knows how things are going. Today, went in to grab a coffee and treat to take to a friend at work for this birthday. Ordered two drinks and two slices of banana bread. Went over and waited for the drinks, they called my name and slid over one of the drinks. I asked about the second one and they had no record of it. Luckily I had already received the email receipt showing the purchase. So they agreed to make the 2nd drink, although now I had to wait while my drink that started out a little on the cool side got even cooler. Not the end of the world and stuff happens right. Although, it didn't help that the barista making drinks was not the friendliest during this transaction. Not rude, but certainly not polite, and after it all was over I thanked him with no reply, then told him to have a good day, also with no reply. Almost as if he was upset with me for the system loosing my 2nd drink order. Moving on, I got to my friends location and we started to drink coffee and eat our banana bread. About 1/2 way through I bit into something firm. I pull it out of my mouth and its a rather large chunk (about 1.25" long) piece of banana peel. Of course it looks rotten and gross because its been baked. It was so dark and yucky looking I can only assume it was a banana peel. Please be a banana peel. :-) Anyway, that's my experience today. On the bright side, the lattes had good flavor, the initial cashier was quite pleasant, and the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was bummed on my first experience. The store was very clean and was almost full of very happy customers. I ordered my coffee and was obviously prompted to tip before receiving what I ordered. Then I was told it will be at the bar shortly. I took a seat facing the bar and watched the baristaās making coffee as I attentively waited for mine. Obviously coffee shops have slower vibes, thatās not out of the ordinary. I knew it could take 5-10 minutes. I waited 25+ minutes and started to get the feeling They forgot my order. I came up and asked if my drink would be done soon. The girl that took my order didnāt reply to my question, just turned around and asked the other barista and she shook her head no, replying, why didnāt he come up sooner if it was missing? I could clearly hear her say this. I simply asked for refund after that comment and they both walked to the register. The first nice girl refunded me and handed me a pastry on the house. Right on, thank you for that. But the other girl who made the comment then proceeded to say, someone probably took it and then walked off. It was never made. I had my eyes on the bar counter the whole time.
This type of interaction doesnāt ruin your day. But at the very least, verbalize an apologize to your customer. Donāt make unnecessary comments that I can plainly hear you say. Essentially blaming your customer for the problem rather than owning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLone Pine has consistently been our favorite coffee shop in town for years. Easily, hands down. There is so much care put into this place, from the decor to the local treats to the homemade syrups. We adore the attention to detail and high quality ingredients. They stock Foxtail/Sparrow pastries which are also easily the best pastries in town. For all you GF folks they have a dedicated staff-made assortment daily.
The staff are always accommodating, friendly, and are well trained to make proper drinks of all kinds. They even laboriously hand make their whipped cream which they serve generously.
Thereās always a rotating artist on display, often with the work available for purchase along with little prints. Thanks for supporting local artists, LP!
Weāre so excited about this new location as weāre east side dwellers. We canāt wait to watch this location flourish even more and will be customers for...
