Coming from out of state we were excited to try this coffee spot due to the cute aesthetics we saw online! Sadly horrible service from the girl working (dark hair and glasses). There was a man working with her (tall brown hair) who did great us when we came in but after that interaction we just sat there in line at the front while she re filled containers. We waited for about 5 minutes or so just watching her/and having no other acknowledgement from the staff. It was so awkward!! Since we were knew we weren’t sure the process to order and noticed the iPad was facing us so we eventually asked “oh are we supposed to order through this?” And she replied without even looking up “no I’ll take your order after I’m finished with this” we waited for her to finish and then she asked what we wanted and then kept asking us to repeat our orders. We then watched her cough and not wash her hands as she made our coffees and listened to her sniffle the entire time. Because we already paid - we sat down and attempted to drink our orders but couldn’t finish them. Bland drinks/no flavor (but will give credit for the pretty foam designs!) we ended up leaving our drinks and went off to find another coffee shop (ended up going to Kevista which was GREAT!) Working my entire career in customer service I was appalled by the lack of service and...
Read moreBest coffee in Bend!
I tried multiple “specialty” coffee shops in Bend on a recent trip and was regularly left wanting. The most important things for me are quality of beans/brew, followed by skills, hospitality, and knowledgeability of baristas, and finally, the atmosphere of the shop. Still Vibrato earns a 5 star from me on all these marks.
I had a great traditional cappuccino and excellent cup of drip which tells me they are dialed on both espresso and filter. I was also able to buy a bag of beans BY THE OUNCE! This is an amazing option for sampling multiple coffees at home and the prices were very reasonable considering there is no minimum purchase.
One last thing, I hate going to a coffee shop where the baristas are passive aggressive, disinterested, or seemingly “gate-keep” coffee knowledge. I had the exact opposite experience of that here. The baristas were extremely kind and knowledgeable, treating everyone in my group (and others I observed) with respect, regardless of their coffee knowledge or how they were dressed (like a coffee hipster or not).
If you’re down in Bend, I highly recommend stopping in. I will certainly be back on my...
Read moreStill Vibrato has the best coffee in Central Oregon and it’s not even close. There is other -good- coffee in Bend, but I will drive out of the way to get Still Vibrato’s flat white. Simply the best craft coffee.
The coffee is just the start for why I frequent here on a weekly basis. Their baristas know what they’re doing, certainly look like they’re enjoying themselves, and are always kind. When I want to treat myself, I will purchase their coffee beans to take home. All of their roasts are delicious and perfectly roasted (as I have tried the majority they release). They’re worth the price tag, so grab one.
There is typically enough seating to sit for a while, but more and more people seem to be figuring out Still Vibrato is gem—so expect a larger group of folks now and again. It’s really not that big of a problem, considering most coffee shops in Bend (and the rest of the PNW) are pretty packed. Their coffee is worth the wait if you do have to wait a few extra minutes.
While they may not get the “best” awards every year due to their size and long-standing history, they definitely are the best and it’s...
