$31+ bucks for an egg bagel thing & strange hash brown balls with cheese, Costco tomatoes, stuck to wax paper?! $3 for the egg on top.
We didn’t order drinks.
No hot sauces available when asked.
Meh.
Music selection wasn’t rad and they kept changing the music mid song. 😂
We were eager to try the place.
The bagel was VERY good!
*RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE :
The medley tomatoes on top of the hash brown balls are similar to the ones I’ve bought for years at Costco. I stand corrected with the tomatoes. Happy they were local! What farm?
The dish overall still just wasn’t very good. It was difficult to eat because it’s on one of those trendy metal trays with wax paper involving melted cheese that sticks to the paper. When we asked for hot sauce we were told the green sauce provided was the “hot sauce”. It was more of a pesto oily sauce that needed salt.
Again! The bagel was good on the just ok breakfast sandwich. Price points don’t make sense… a bagel cheese egg sandwich is $11. Weird potato ball plate was much more even without that $3 egg! Shall we blame it on those local out of season tomatoes? 😂
It just would’ve been nice to have an actual plate and some hot sauce for those potato balls @ that price! These little things can’t be blamed on food costs going up, you see.
It’s equally SO interesting to me as an eager customer that this was acceptable. It’s also SO interesting to me that you think it’s up to the customer to walk up to a counter, get ourselves water, silver ware, bus our tables & have zero luck at waiving down anybody working, etc etc. @ your suggested tip rates.
I could go into more detail, but will leave it at that.
You’re welcome for our...
Read moreI have been coming to Bend for years and this was my first time trying this place out. I have to admit I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of the dish before I started to eat.
The location was a little confusing with Google maps but with a minor detour I found it! There is decent parking space as long as the whole complex is not super busy.
The facility itself is cute and works with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have good options for food and drink for vegan and meat eaters alike.
I used their menu to identify my choices and the cashier helped me to pick the options that would best suit my needs - vegan here. I like that the toppings list was large. Going with a pre set of toppings was easy and less need to think about what works for tastes.
They did offer kombucha but it was a higher sugar content than a normally drink so I stick with water. My meal was ready pretty quickly. It started to get busy after I ordered but they seemed to work thru that quickly.
My only knock was that I requested no tahini and yet it was still covered in it. It is not an allergen or else I would have sent it back - it is a choice and it tasted good, just wasn’t what I had asked for…
Worth coming back and giving a try if you...
Read moreIt’s actually kinda crazy I haven’t left a review for this place yet... When I first moved to bend, I had the unfortunate experience of eating bagels that were not from here. I was left feeling disappointed, disheartened, and hungry. Welcome, Bo’s. When they were hustling in the first location with a tent and a food truck on Galveston, people braved the cold with their pufffy jackets just for a taste of these bad boys. I refer to the time they briefly closed before opening their own permanent location as the dark days. But then they came better than ever, expanding their menu, now with flavored vegan cream cheese options, the best gluten free bagels this side of the Mississippi, the heartiest breakfast bagel Sammie’s you could dream of. I have nursed a broken heart here, met the love of my life here, giggled with my friends here. The kitchen staff is sweet, the owner even sweeter, no matter how crazy the world gets. Bo’s Must Be The Place. Get your bagels here. And if you know what’s good for you, you’ll get a bag of day olds too. I love you Bo’s. See you...
