First of all, their to-go packaging is impeccable. I had the bag on my passenger seat since it kept tipping on the ground, with my too-sharp turns in my angst to get home after a long day. While reaching for the bag handles, I knocked into something—accidentally flipping the entire bag upside down in seconds.
The hope of denial, laced with knowing dread, that filled me for the 6 seconds it took me to reach the other side of the car… My car was going to smell like Indian food for days! When I tell you that all the containers were literally flipped upside down and not a drop of liquid or any food had fallen out!!! I was so happy and kind of amazed.
Their menus were on ipads, which was actually so nice to look through. Now, the food. Aloo Tikki (delicious potato appetizer with a slight bit of heat)- so, so good! Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, but didn’t taste like that oily unhealthy deep-fried food.
I also got the Lamb Kaali Mirch and the Butter Chicken. The chicken was just backup dinner in case I really hated the lamb. Now I have delicious leftovers of both for a few days! My only regret? That I didn’t get the naan the server offered, because both entrees already came with rice and… I thought I had enough carbs 🙄🙄 I know…. Don’t be ridiculous like I was. Get the naan. I could have eaten both of those sauces like soups—they were both so flavorful and good. (Okay, I did just a tiny little bit). So anyway, no pics because it would do them an injustice. But really, check...
Read moreSo excited to have this new addition to Bend’s dining scene. We’ve for years been visiting their location in Walla Walla whenever we’ve traveled there, and we were so excited to learn they were coming here. The interior of their restaurant is pleasing, along with what appears to be an inviting patio option. We were sure to order all our favorites (which we like to do to take the measure of a new place), and everything was excellent. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, the meats tender, and the vegetables fresh. The service was very friendly and the staff was attentive - even the chef visited our table to make sure we were happy with our meal....
Read moreSo happy to finally have an Indian restaurant in Bend — it’s long overdue! The venue is beautiful, the service was friendly and attentive, and the naan was absolutely delicious as was my Mango curry ( on par with waht I have had in Vancouer BC which has a good Indian food scene). . The food presentation was also well done. While it’s not the best Indian food I’ve ever had (London still holds that title!), it’s definitely on par with many good Indian spots across the U.S. A great option when you're craving Indian cuisine in Central Oregon — and a very welcome addition to the...
