I went there yesterday and ordered five tacos.I said no onions never have I been to a restaurant where they built the cheese in with the meat. They burnt the cheese. The meat was so dry and hard. I could barely chew and there were still onions in my tacos. The tortillas were soggy, it's just all around was awful. I went ahead and ate one taco. Just to see if I could push through, I didn't and I couldn't,so I asked for a refund. They were so rude about it. She gave me the refund, but when I looked at my bake statement, she said it would take 24 to 48 hours to post. Okay, that's fine. Wait until the next day it posted, but so did 2 charges. It was negative 15.59 twice as in positive once, so she Took another charge and then credited back that 1, so she never gave me a refund. When I called her about it, she wouldn't give me the information of the owner. She's apparently the only boss and she works everyday, and she hook up. I'm all my way up there so I can try in person and get The information, also I speak Spanish, and I totally understood everything she was saying to the cooks when I return the food. You should really be careful. Would you speak each another language? Because your customers might actually know what you're saying I can't find the owner's information. And I'm getting really upset that I was charged twice. I give it a refund for one of those trying to take advantage of me. I don't appreciate it. It makes me wonder what else they're doing. The food was so disgusting and...
Read moreAfter finishing a concert at the amphitheater, my husband and I were craving a late night bite to eat and desperately trying to find anything in Bend that was open past 11 PM.
Someone suggested Taco Salsa so we made our way over and waited in the drive-through. Once it was our turn to order, we decided to get a cheese quesadilla, a Carne Asada taco, and an order of the rolled chicken tacos (I just thought these were called taquitos but I could be wrong).
We took our food back to our hotel and dug in. The cheese quesadilla was nothing special, but when all it consists of is two ingredients, it's kind of hard to mess that up.
My husband did not enjoy the Carne Asada taco and ended up not finishing it. As for the rolled chicken tacos, they were initially crispy and I think they would've been much tastier if they had not been absolutely covered in sour cream and salsa.
I would've appreciated eating them plain or having the choice to just dip them into salsa myself, but after sitting in the juices of the salsa and sour cream, they ended up turning soggy and the texture was offputting to me.
If you're in a pinch, looking for a late night bite to eat in Bend, this may be one of your...
Read moreBad service even for a drive-through. When asking the lady taking my order if they preferred the chicken or the beef(For the meat option in my "Rolled tacos" which end up looking and tasting exactly like the ones you buy at safeway that sit in the freezer until you bake or microwave them), the response I got was; "I don't know what do you want?!" I wanted a recommendation from someone who probably eats there regularly. Moving on to the food. I could have stayed home and microwaved something out of a box to get as tasty results as I got from taco salsa. You know those places that look dumpy on the outside but from time to time you find a hidden gem? Well thats not taco salsa. Dumpy looking place and food to match. To top it off the guacamole was some sort of liquid, the only difference between the green sauce and red sauce was color. Neither had a flavor worth mentioning nor a difference in spiceyness. The final clincher for me is that they still use styrofoam containers. 1 star feels generous for this place but I...
