Have never been here before. I was literally just about to get on the freeway & saw this restaurant. I turned around & went back. Only a few cars in the drive thru & had to wait awhile which I should have known better as people are ordering meals. I ordered a taco salad. I asked for easy/light beans & was told they were out of beans. You get a choice of meat & I asked for shredded beef. You get chips & salsa if you ask for it. On the menu board it showed the price of $7.99. When she told me the total, it was more. I asked why & she told me the taco salad was 9.25 & I told her it says 7.99. She replied must be an old price or something along that line. I pd & pulled into a parking space to check my food which I always do when I get food to go. There were no chips & salsa & I noticed there was a 50 c ATM surcharge. I went into the restaurant to get the chips & salsa. When I asked for the chips, the young lady at the counter went to get the woman taking the orders & payment. While I was waiting for her, I noticed on the inside menu board, the taco salad was $8.99. She came & told me they were out of chips, that they [ the order ] hadn't come in. So if the restaurant is out of something, you don't tell the customer ?? I asked why the inside price was $8.99. So that means three different prices. She offered that the $9.25 was probably the price with tax. I showed her the receipt with the tax separate. I asked about the ATM surcharge & she told me it was for the cr card use. ?? I didn't use the ATM so there shouldn't be a fee. I told her that restaurants shouldn't charge more than the posted amount let alone three different prices. The woman was very nice & apologized & said she would update the manager or owner. Later when I opened the food container, I thought they had forgotten the meat. The little amount was buried under the mound of lettuce. I also didn't like seeing the food handlers not wearing gloves. [ you can see them ] How does a mexican restaurant run out of beans & chips ?? I won't...
Read moreI finally had the time to visit Alibertos at Benicia. I waited 12 minutes for the drive thru order. I was a bit rush to place my order for seeing the menu for the first time. Once I received my order to take home, I found the attendant pleasant and courteous. I ordered a shrimp fajitas. When I got home I was surprised to see my order ample and so with the tortilla chips and the fresh tortilla themselves. The food was scrumptious. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and delicate taste of the beans and rice. The shrimps were medium size but hearty, soft, and tasty. Cooking shrimps is tricky. You cook it too long and they get hard and dry. Theirs were perfect. The guac was mildly tasty as well as the sour cream. Overall, I give it a four stars. I have no other choice, I will return and sample the other fresh foods they have on the...
Read moreOrdered a super burrito with al pastor, one regular pastor burrito, and 3 quesatacos with Carne asada, which all cost about $43 (a little more expensive than i expected). I did drive thru which was difficult because their speaker system wasn't working so u had to order at the window. Being that I had never been there, I didn't have a menu to look at to order and I decide before I drove to the window (so probably my fault). I would've liked to be able to see the menu while ordering. I liked my quesatacos, although slightly on the skimpy side with the meat especially if they cost $5 each. My pastor burrito was ok. I don't like lettuce in my burritos, so I wish I had a menu to reference so I'd have known. The flavor of the pastor was pretty good. Willing to give this place another try, but I want too impressed with my...
