Lot’s of pizza restaurant options out there but I choose to visit Benicia MM. Placed an order over the phone for pick up and was told it would be 20 to 25 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes after ordering. When I walked in, there was no one behind the counter, and one woman wiping down the tables. I stood at the counter waiting for assistance. There were a number of staff back in the baking area, but no one ventured out to the counter. I saw a couple boxes stacked on top of each other under the warming light. I had ordered pizza and breadsticks and assumed these were mine because it was early and no other customer was in there. I looked at the receipt tucked in the boxes to check, and immediately was yelled at by the lady wiping the tables. MA’ME CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH THE BOXES!! I was shocked that in the first place she didn’t come over to assist in the second place boomed out a condescending reprimand. I get it it’s 2023 and Covid restrictions are still active in some places. But I am not a five year old and don’t need to be LOUDLY reprimanded when I come in to an establishment to pick up and pay for my order. I felt sorry for the young lady that came to assist me at the cash register after the manager had yelled at me. She seemed very embarrassed. I also could not understand her when she told me the total of my order because of her mask. I had to ask her to repeat herself twice. It would be helpful if there was something on the cash register facing the customers to show what they owe. Also, the pizza was cold. The warming lights must be very old because they don’t work. My suggestion would be to move the pizzas to a warming oven behind the counter for the customers. That way they’re not sitting under a barely working heat lamp for customers to, gasp… touch the boxes. Take note from Round Table Pizza, MM for customer service. They greet customers with a smile, the cash register shows you how much you owe and they have a behind counter pizza oven that keeps the pizza warm until you can get there to pick it up. And no, I don’t work, manage, or own Round Table I just appreciate their customer service and will go there from now on. It’s a shame when so many restaurants are struggling that MM treats their customers with condensation...
Read moreThe service at this place is terrible, in house and take out. I've had several bad experiences but tonight was just the last straw. This was the first Friday family night we have had in a while. Having pizza delivered was going to be a well deserved treat to go with a movie and snacks to kick off Father's Day weekend. I ordered over the phone at 826p, told delivery would be about 45 min. She took my husband's name and phone number and took my order, no problem. Volume great and no static. At 940p I called for an ETA. Keep in mind, the whole family is waiting - my little boys anticipating their favorite pizza. The girl who took my order also answered my call for the ETA. She proceeds to tell me that "whoever" took my order (it was her) put in the order as 49 instead of 43 as the delivery address. Which already doesn't make sense because the delivery address comes up when the phone number is entered in their system. She says they were trying to call us and the driver left several messages trying to get a hold of us (my husband's phone never rang - no vm, no text, nothing) so I tell her ok fine, so when can I expect my pizza? She says I'll have it go back out to you - I laugh because no way I'm accepting a pizza that's been out of the oven and all over town and back now. I tell her I want a fresh made pizza - she says its too late for that because "we close soon". So I said ok fine, I'll take the old cold pizza but I want a refund. She processes the refund but then says now she has no driver. I asked her what happened 3 minutes ago when you had a driver and offered to send me that old pizza back???!!! There was no solution here - she simply did not want to help rectify the situation - nor did they have the wrong address, nor did they try to call my husband when they couldn't deliver the pizza - to our neighbor's whom we know by the way and they said no one tried to deliver a pizza to them - so it was all just lies - for what?? To take home a free pizza at the end of their shift I guess lol I have no idea. But I will never spend my hard earned money at this Mountain Mike's location ever again. Nearly ruined our whole family night. Save yourself the trouble and skip...
Read moreOrdered for delivery 1 medium pizza, 1 cinnamon dessert, cheese sticks & jalapeño poppers. Everything but the pizza was undercooked and not edible. The mozzarella sticks were soft and soggy and cold when bitten into, also they were different than pictured on the website when ordering, as for the jalapeño poppers they were cold and soggy too. The cinnamon dessert was soft and doughy with an awful taste which made me spit out onto my plate instantly. If you order here, I would only recommend the pizza because seems like that's the only thing they get right here. Go to Round Table on South Hampton instead! When I called to let then know that everything but the pizza was undercooked they said its comes out the same way even if they put it in the oven twice and they acknowledge that the mozzarella sticks they have are different than what is on the website. I was offered to have it re-made & would then have to pay for delivery again and when declined they offer only 10% for my next order which I didn't think was fair especially for almost a hundred dollar order when only the pizza was edible. They did end up giving a 30% discount for next time but only after I was persistent about the inconvenience. Eat here at...
