Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Bennett

I ate here a few times..... Food is decent.... The burgers at these Carl's are flatter than that of Hardee's, which are sister companies.... Either that or they squish them for some reason..... These Carl's have waffle fries instead of curly fries.... The curls are so much better and all I've eaten for years, but when I'm out this direction of the country, I stay away from the waffles.... They take up to much space in the fry box that you barely get any fry..... It's also rare that these people are trained properly to use the charbroiler.... They are supposed to place the patty as far back on the belt as they can.... But these kids place it to close to the opening of the broiler which makes the burger have no "char" on it... Which is what gives it proper flavor.... Or they speed up the belt a tick, which also gives it NO char.... They call it a charbroiler for a reason ya know.... Quit being in a hurry, kids..... I actually worked at a Hardee's at the exact time they started using charbroilers and know EXACTLY how it's supposed to be done.... Had corporate there showing us and everything.... Showed us the "hows, when's and whys" of...

Ordered two simple meals. No one was in front of me. Had to wait 10 minutes in the front and got my order. The guy said he forgot the sauces and said he’d be right back. I waited 5 minutes and got frustrated and left. Got home only to realize they gave me two Patties on a bun with only mustard. I paid for bacon, lettuce, tomato and everything else that’s supposed to come on it and didn’t get any of it. The second burger was the one with onion rings, bacon and onion. I bit into it and it was like biting into a rock half way through. The onion rings were so over cooked and hard I could tap them on the counter without them bending. I had to take the onion rings off. What a waste. Best part- the sauces I waited for were in the bag the whole time. But I waited and didn’t look since the kid who brought them out said he forgot them and would be right back with them. Spent $23 there on the two meals and drinks and was extremely disappointed that I wasted that money after a long day working out in the yard. Not coming back.

I recommend AGAINST doing business with this store. The cooks do not look at their orders (they failed to make mine correctly twice, and yes, the ticket does correctly state what I requested.). The dining area is a mess with an employee's hat in one booth and generally dirty tables with fries on the floor and dried soda on the eating surfaces. The cook preparing my food stopped making my order to approach and speak with an off duty employee about how he had left a pack of cigarettes in his car, all the while still holding the cheese to my order. They also discuss things that I wouldn't want my children around, referring to how it would be funny to visit a strip club with a bag of quarters and throw the change at the strippers and watch them pick up the coins and discussed how local police are terrible and are making life difficult. The only positive thing that I saw in this store was that the cashier reiterated to the cook that my order was to be made to what was posted on it's ticket, so thankful...
