This is regarding my stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Bennett, CO, June 18 to June 19, 2025.
Room cost $132.96. Pet fee $25.00.
Room 109, handicap accessible: The very heavy door does not have a way to be held open. It closes automatically and quickly. This is unacceptable for a “handicap room”. The handle on the bathroom sink faucet comes off in your hand. The window shade could not be rolled up. It was pulled out to its maximum length and draping down over the air conditioner. No way to let the morning sun in. The holder for the coffee pods was way too small for the coffee maker. It stayed in until about halfway through brewing then it fell out and hot water flooded the desk. The mattress was so worn out that, despite a mattress pad, the bed felt like you were sleeping on a droopy piece of cardboard. The hotel is “pet friendly” for the hotel only, in that they get more money if you have one. There is no place, other than rocks or dry, weed-filled dirt areas, to take your dog to relieve himself. If they're going to charge for a pet the least they can do is have a place where the dog won't end up covered in burrs and sharp weeds. Other than waffles, sausage patties, and reconstituted eggs, the breakfast area had only one piece of fruit, two yogurts, one pastry, three rock-hard stale bagels, and only one cream cheese. This was about 1 hour after breakfast started. The young man at the front desk check-in was pleasant and friendly. He was the only decent part of the stay. The lady at the front desk the next morning continued on a phone conversation so long I finally said, “Never mind. You can read it in my review”. She suddenly had time to talk to me. I told her the issues with the room. When I commented about the lack of decent area for the dogs, she said, “That is up to the owner.” (So….?) Also she was already aware the coffee pod holders were too small and said, “You have to kind of wedge it in at an angle. “ (Really….?)
I'm sorry to say this was the worst Choice hotel I've ever stayed in. There was nothing that made it worth staying there for free and certainly not...

Read moreMaria said she was the manager. After we endured 3 different rooms in 3 days...one room change at midnight...we found her lack of concern concerning. As I spoke to her all she said was ok, ok....never a sorry or I can do this for you...this hotel is new and never should be allowed to open due to electric issues, no blinds on window...it was in the closet, and water all over a handicap bathroom floor! When I demanded our money back, I was told that I could only get the unused nights. I called corporate and another manager, Ben. Apparently Ben told Maria to refund our money in full, a whole week, $866. The frustration of moving into 3 different rooms, should never had happen. The frustration of trying to get my money back should not have happened. I am sorry to write this, but there was 0 concern about electrical problems at midnight, in fact employees told us they were aware that room 105 does that. This could have caused our family grave harm due to using Cpap machines. No one cared. Then the icing on the cake was when we were given a handicap room where shower was filthy from construction dirt! Water is made to drain from shower to a dirty floor drain. But what a slipping hazzard for people not in a wheel chair??? The hotel owners need to train their employees better in customer service. Yes, I expected better when I am spending over $800!!! No apology ever received. They ended up crediting our credit card, but not without me getting after them. 1st night room was not ready when we arrived at 5pm. Got into room around 7:30pm and didn't have a blackout blind. Found it the next day in the closet! Second room was down the hall and blew the ele trical circut at midnight. Third room was a slipping hazzard and filthy shower. I think most guests would be...
