Bennett Park & Recreation District — Attraction in Bennett

Decent gym I suppose. Went for the first time today. Wish it was a bit bigger but kind of hard to complain about that... not like there's many options for more space. Other than that I'd say that I really wish membership prices were cheaper. I suppose being the only halfway decent gym in the area that they're really taking advantage of being able to charge more based on the convenience factor for people in the area. . They close wayy too early for me to be able to regularly come here during my work week seeing as they're closed by the time I'm off work. Disappointing that they don't stay open until atleast 9 or 10pm. Also closing at noon on Saturdays and being closed on Sundays seems ridiculous to me. Even staying open later on Saturdays and moving their Saturday hours to Sunday would make getting a membership here much more justifiable to me. . I'd like to go more often but the membership prices for what is provided are way too high... There are far nicer gyms that offer much more for much cheaper within a 20-25ish minute drive from here. They should really atleast consider allowing Strasburg residents to pay the same amount as Bennett considering we don't have a good option for a similar facility nearby. The prices are the biggest factor in preventing me from rating this place higher. Cut the prices by 20-30% and this will be a 4-5 star gym experience for what is provided. I'll likely be getting a membership with Vasa Fitness in Aurora before even considering getting one here. Worth the extra 20 minute drive to save money and have more amenities...

Other than a home workout, it's the only rec center in the area, so there's no competition. No competition usually means the customer suffers, and the owner(s) of said establishment grow richer. So is the case here. Sadly I will not be renewing my membership due to, 'what I pay for vs what I get'. Old, out dated equipment, random closures, a terrible pool schedule and a dirty locker room. Half the time I want to use the pool area it's 'off limits' due to a party. I literally pay to use this pool. Every month. At least 4 times per month, I don't have access to what I pay for. Then when I do get access, I get interrupted by people who don't even work there, yet want to 'play lifeguard'. Do yourself a favor; get a workout DVD, some weights and stay at home. Skip this place all together. You're only in for disappointment. Hopefully with the growth happening in Bennett, a corporate gym will move into town. Until then I'll drive the extra distance to ensure I'm getting...

Honestly we went swimming there and the blonde lady at the desk was very nice but there was another lady that was there saying it was her place and she can deny anyone access and yelling at people for stupid reasons.. when I heard her talking to a little boy (about 6 or 7) the way she was it wasn’t ok and then I heard him say I’m sorry and she looked at the poor little boy and told him “I don’t except your apology “ who talks to a child like that. Honestly what is wrong with people!! I know after hearing this from staff I will NEVER bring my children there and I will not be back.. I also plan on letting others know about this.. maybe if you get better staff and better prices I will come back.. I would rather drive 30/35 minutes to a rec...
