Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Bennington

So this may be long and some may not read it all, but I don’t care…

I just wanna start out that the food started out amazing the chicken quesadillas were on point completely delicious. We devoured them like it was no tomorrow. When our meals came, I have to tell you that the chicken tenders were extremely oily and the french fries were over seasoned. The atmosphere well to be honest with you it was nothing but a sports bar, which is fine if you would like that sort of atmosphere.

What made our lunch and will make us go back is the service that we had. I want to say and I am not joking, I have never had that kind of service since before Covid 2020.

Our server was amazing. I wish I could remember her name. I think it was Chloe? If I’m wrong, please do not take it to heart because I am so bad with names. I just know that she had green and black hair dyed. She must’ve been watching us like a hawk because as soon as my son was out of his drink, she brought us another one without even questioning. She stopped over at our table multiple times to ask us how our meal was going.

But honestly, what made it so much more was, she asked me about my tattoo, a tattoo that I got in remembrance for my brother when he passed away from suicide. It’s been a year since then, and I will be honest with you., No one has ever asked me about my tattoo and at first it threw me off guard and I almost started crying, but it made me feel really really good and welcomed when she stood there and listened to what the tattoo meant to me.

Overall, like I said, the service was on point and you don’t get that very often in a lot of places because there’s not many people that wanna work nowadays. We actually don’t eat out because of this, but obviously she does care annd wants to work. Again I wish I could remember her name because honestly, she deserves a raise! We will definitely go back because of her and I hope that we get her again...

The Bennington chilli's has went down hill hard. The food is a bitter very hard pill to swallow. Foods coming out like it was cooked in a dishwasher. I've been to 28 chili's across the usa and this one hands down is by far the worst. Chicken sandwich was meant to be crispy not a soggy train wreck. Baby back ribs were so dried out I almost choked. Wings reminded me of a frozen box of tgi Fridays from the super market. Sadly this place use to be my top favorite but it's been years since. Some of its not all bad. The chipotle sauce is wonderful but the chicken barely was breaded. Who ever they got running the kitchen needs to go back to McDonald's because the food reminds me of a bad fast food joint. Even still I could go to McDonald's pay half the price and get better food. Again the chef they got cooking has zero integrity for what he/she is serving and can't handle the heat pushing out dog food.

Sandwich was a bite I will never forget. Fell apart just trying to take the bite. This is 4th time in a row we have complained about the disgusting food giving that it's the only none greecy food place round we have hopes after months of waiting something would of changed. Maybe sitting in might be better but...

Felt rushed! To ask guests who have sat for less than minute if they are ready for a drink order is okay because yes some people know right away but other people might need more time.....but to immediately ask right after getting drink order if you know what you want to eat is ridiculous ummm give people time to look at the menu. The bartender doesn't even know what liquor she has in house and she is not pleasant at all. Didn't introduce herself just said can I start you with drinks then after that do you know what you want. Returned with drinks and still rushed us for order so I put a appetizer in. Stop rushing people! Ummm first off can we read the menu! Second you want to make money by turning and burning a table at least have some personality or just give customers a few more minutes, there is a big difference between being efficient and being pushy and rude. Third you work in a restaurant with a ridiculous amount of support staff and do very little work so you should try putting a little more effort into personality and customer service because your dragging everyone down!
