Cool location, but things are changing. My wife and I have been coming here since they opened. At that time, prices were good, service was learning, and food quality was at least an 8/10. Now we have a 2 year old, and have taken notice that their kids menu is obscenely expensive. What kind of place charges $10 for childrens spaghetti and meatballs, and doesn't even include a drink or desert?!? One that does not welcome customers with children, one would think. I've also noticed quality is going down. All along, sandwiches were served with house made chips. Now, you get a bag of chips which are not even close to as good. Upgrade charges are high; $3 for fries. Last time there I ordered my favorite sandwich, the chicken parm. No longer using real chicken. Now it is very low quality chicken patties. Think McDonalds or 90% filler... Not much cheese, was served on a hamburger roll. I actually questioned it, and was told it was the same as always. I don't blame the waitress, she hasn't been there the whole time. Cook lied to her. Not the same chicken. I clearly remember them serving me real chicken in the past. My wife clearly remembers, too. All in all, this was a great place. As popularity has increased, so too have the prices in the form of actually going up drastically, or in quality going down drastically. Be careful High Tides. Greed does come back to bite you. I however, probably will not.

The decor is amazing and the restaurant itself, along with the riverside scenery is amazing... the food however fell flat in terms of taste and flavor. And the price was too high for such a lack of great dishes. My wife and I ordered the mild buffalo wings (bone-in as opposed to their boneless) for an appetizer and they were good. But our entrees were not to our liking. I ordered the mahi and it was dry. She ordered the Seafood scampi dish and it was better than my entree, but still just okay for the rather high price (I forget the actual names of the dishes). We also ordered drinks. My mango martini was very good. She ordered a Margarita that I tasted- there was more sour mix than tequila in the drink. I wish I had more pictures to share with this review because the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and very upscale. The pictures I have posted here do NOT do the beauty of this upscale restaurant justice...but I forgot to take more pictures before I left and I regret that. All in all, come for the beauty and the serenity of this restaurant that is literally beside a very relaxing lake. Come for some drinks and appetizers, but don't go all out on the entrees because you will end up spending more than you would hope for in terms of a fine dining experience at such a beautiful restaurant.

Went to the " High Tides " for my monthly Yacht club meeting. We normally meet at another location but we decided to change it up this month. This was my first time being there and it seemed nice in there They had this monster size fishtank in there. It had to be over 500 gallons. Probably closer to 1000 gal. I just drank a draft ipa and it wasn't any more expensive than anywhere else. The decor was decent and inviting and the wait staff and bartenders are very nice and attentive. It was a Tuesday night around 7pm so I don't know what it looks like on a weekend but it was very empty as far as I could see but i was in the back bar room. It has a nice outside dining area overlooking the neshaminy creek. I'd like to go there on a weekend and hang out there once the summer gets going. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was busy at our meeting . I'll update with more pics on my next visit. U got to see that fishtank its pretty cool. I would definitely come back.

I'm posting this as a public service, so no one else has this experience. I saw this restaurant on Tv and decided to check it out. So me and my son took a ride down to High Tides restaurant in Bensalem. The place looks nice and is located on the river. We ordered a couple apps. and split a burger. The food was good and the service was ok. We went early afternoon before any crowd. The place has a nice deck/ and deck bar. The inside seemed equally nice. I asked our server about reserving a table for after my son's graduation..she said no problem I asked about any other reservation that night because I wasn't sure about any other schools graduating. She assured me that that night was perfect because it was generally slow and no one else scheduled. My reservation was for inside at 6:30 pm. This should have been perfect. I wanted to have a nice celebration with my family. When we arrive they sat us in the main room which was hot , I asked if they could check the air, they didn't. ( not until another party showed up. I can only assume that because my party was smaller we didn't count. ( party of ten). They turned the air on after about an hour. We ordered appetizers and our waitress didn't take our dinner order for another hour. We also had a young child with us. When they finally brought the food, they brought the wrong meal for our young child and didn't bring my dinner or my aunt's dinner. I need to mention that our server became quite rude asking if she wanted to order her meal to take home. They did however bring another round of drinks that no one asked for. I wouldn't want anyone else to have their event turn out this way. When we asked to speak with manager our server said they would not come over! While I was waiting to see the manager I looked over the bill, they charged me full s price for a virgin cocktail. I asked the waitress about this and she said this was the procedure. I said no! I showed her the menu. $ 6.00 for their specialty drinks. ( piñata colata ) she charged me 6.50 for no alcohol. Told me she has been a server for 17 years. Sorry no!!! My husband saw a man (when he was outside smoking) changing their special board. Increasing the prices as more people came in. All I wanted was nice time with my family. We were very patient and tried to be understanding but the management didn't seem to care. The business practices at this establishment are...

I continuously give this place a shot thinking I’m going to have a great experience and I’m always let down. The past (3) times were nothing special & rubbed me the wrong way but my experience I had on Tuesday was the cherry on top for me. I won’t be visiting here again. The food is NOT good, the drinks & view are, and the view is the reason why I gave two stars. On Tuesday it was not busy whatsoever. The waitress took forever to come back and check on us, come give our drinks, and even to get the check seemed like a hassle. My friends and I were not done talking and we decided to go inside and that’s when everything went downhill. We sat at the bar with two other people on the other side which was fine, the bartender was not fine. We each ordered buckets ($14) and the entire time the bartender was rushing us. He made comments several times of how my friends and I kept talking and we needed to just keep drinking because we were taking too long to finish. Mind you, this was at only 9:15pm. The bar closes at 2am. We felt rushed and pressured to down our drinks already since I guess we weren’t quick enough, but to make matters worse he gave us extra straws so we could drink more every time we sipped. While this was all going on, the staff began sweeping and cleaning all around us, giving us the hint I guess they wanted us to leave 4 hours earlier than when they closed. We finally finished and when we walked out, the waitress said “sorry for sucking as a waitress.” What does that mean? We gave her 20%. So overall, the view was great, the food was awful (I got a buffalo chicken wrap and there was 3 or 4 small pieces of chicken in each wrap, probably equaled out to be (1) chicken finger in total), the service was bad, and I am done trying with this place. I hope the bartender realizes that’s not how you’re supposed to act and with the amount of drunk driving that occurs, pressuring people to basically chug a rum bucket in a small amount of time is unprofessional...

What a COLASSAL disappointment!! Today was my birthday and friends took me for a pleasant dinner outing. The service was horrific, if not non existent. We were seated at 7:10. At 8:10 I stepped up to the front and asked to speak to the Manager. I was questioned as to why, them waitwd for the Manager to appear. I felt it was an inconvienace, as even the Security person asked if I need something. The Manager showed, I explained something was wrong, we had not received our appetizers and the wait person allowed us to stare at empty cocktail glasses. The appetizers showed up as I approached our table with the Manager. The time was 8:10pm. The Manager apologized offered to take the last two dri KS ordered off the bill. Our appetizers were cold and the steamed clams were not opened. The juice was cold, no bread for dipping. The Manager came back to tell us two drinks were credited, we handed her the cold clams and asked for them to be removed from Bill. She came back in 5mibutes with same, hotter clams, we declined. Food was below average, we canceled our plane to order main dishes. The wait to get the check was equally painful and long. We had to send the check back to have the steamers removed. Even longer wait to just get the heck out of there. Wow!!!! So bad, so awful, no floor management, no orefiessik alism in sight. The kitchen was a disaster. I suggest a closure for rethinking and hiring professional...
