I had planned to introduce my family, who had just arrived from California, to the culinary delights of Yum Yum Benton. Unfortunately, my experience with this establishment was incredibly disappointing and marred by unprofessional behavior.
Upon placing my order, I was informed that it would take approximately 10 minutes. Considering I had an estimated time of arrival at the restaurant of 20 minutes, I felt optimistic about enjoying a timely and delicious meal with my family.
However, just 10 minutes later, I received an unexpected phone call from the restaurant. To my surprise, they informed me that they would be closing at 2:50 pm, a significant departure from the operating hours listed on Google, which indicated they would be open until 9 pm. This sudden change in plans left me feeling rushed and concerned about being able to enjoy our meal together.
Despite the sudden closure announcement, I assured the restaurant that I would make it there within 10 minutes. Determined to salvage the evening, I hurriedly made my way to Yum Yum Benton and arrived at 2:36 pm, well ahead of the revised closing time.
To my immense disappointment, upon reaching the restaurant, I discovered that it was already closed. Even more frustrating was the fact that despite my repeated attempts to contact them, they did not answer the phone.
I cannot emphasize enough how unprofessional and disappointing this experience was. The inconsistency in their communicated closing time, coupled with the premature closure and lack of responsiveness, left a lasting negative impression on me and my family.
Regrettably, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Yum Yum Benton. Their failure to honor their commitments and provide adequate communication demonstrates a lack of professionalism and respect for their customers. I would strongly advise others to explore alternative dining options in the area to ensure a more reliable and enjoyable...
Read moreUse to love this place. Probably eaten there 25 times and always had good food.
The past 4-5 times have been very disappointing. Shrinkflation is in full affect. Portions, especially meat have dwindled to an embarrassing level. Steak is fried to the point of astronaut ice cream.
I got sick the last time I ate it two weeks Ago (chicken hibachi). Tonight was the final straw. Burnt steak (7 tiny pieces only). Gyoza was burnt to the point of looking like a fortune cookie.
I’m fine with paying more to get the same quality food/quantity. I understand the economy. But don’t raise the prices and then also decrease the quality. Consumers recognize this quickly.
It’s unfortunate because the service is always great and their rapport was excellent. Not sure if a management change or what is affecting the quality but we are taking our...
Read moreI went there the first time, (carryout) they forgot to include the shrimps for my daughter. My daughter was upsetting and I had to drive back to get the shrimp and STILL pay for it. They laughed and said ”sorry” that's all!! Not appreciated at all.
I decided to give them another chance, today I went there for the second time at 9:15 pm, the sign said open so I want to order small food. Guess what, they already clean up the kitchen at 9 pm and told us the the store was closed. I told them that their sign said ”open” and they turn it off right away when I point it out and that time was 9:21pm. Website said closes at 9:30pm.
Let y'all know: don't bother going there. They deserve to shut down the business. Menu not much...
