Hype Coffee — Restaurant in Bentonville

I want to start by saying Hype has lots of fun flavor combinations and I really appreciated their sugar free options when I had gestational diabetes. Staff have always been very nice. That said, I have to lower my star rating because they can't be trusted with allergens, which is a pretty serious offense, unfortunately. After explaining to the barista I needed to find a dairy & soy free drink this past Monday, I was immediately & confidently assured all of their sauces/syrups were dairy free "well, except milk chocolate obviously." I was suspicious after tasting my drink and looked up a couple of the (non-milk chocolate) sauce brands I had seen through the window and they absolutely have dairy in them after being assured otherwise (for some reason). My nursing babe with CMPA still seemed to be affected by the slipup even though I obviously didn't continue drinking my beverage. I don't think the employee knew and was just uneducated about how sneaky allergens can be and that you need to read the label but their confidence gave me confidence, and with their sugar free offerings as well, I thought maybe they really had worked to make their drinks accessible to a lot of different dietary restrictions. I would not have expected all of their drinks to be dairy free and expected to need to work through my order with their employee but he was quite confident. I also find their unapologetic response to be lacking 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope they train all staff to be knowledgeable about allergens moving forward and I'm glad my case wasn't as serious as it would have...

I recently worked with Hype Coffee for a large group breakfast with one of my customers. First, the drinks themselves were exceptional, and we had so many positive comments from our guest around the elevated experience they provided with thier drinks. Second, working with the owner on this event was phenomenal. I needed to change the date at the last moment and these guys delivered (literally and metaphorically)!! I also had them chose the beverages for the event based on thier experience and the number of guest we had (25), and they totally nailed it with a mix of hot and cold drinks, along with thier drip coffee.
