Updated 2025: I've been back twice recently. Beignets are not consistent in taste but were cooked through and delicious. The drip coffee is not good as I prefer black coffee with sweet breakfast foods; it just had an "off" taste but not too terrible. I asked for fresher milk to dress up my cup since the half and halfs at the table had gone bad (confirmed by waitress). On one visit, I tried the Triune and it is a devine coffee drink. I've had each breakfast burrito and both are great.
During good weather, I love the pet friendly patio. Also the White Russian and mimosa were yummy. Its a very busy restaurant and the staff are really moving around getting stuff done. I appreciate that.
Review 2023: Unfortunately, I had a bad experience, but I wanted to like it because my husband talked it up for weeks! He had a "country man" and raved about it every time we passed the restaurant. Finally, we had time for breakfast on a recent Saturday morning. There was no wait however most of the tables were taken, so we probably just got lucky. We ordered the beignets first but had to send them back because they were a gross mush on the insides. I also want to note that the presentation was awful, too, like they didn't care how the menu described them. Our waiter was pleasant about us sending them back and we ordered a cinnamon roll...but the roll was cold on my side and the sauce was overpoured on top which made it look gross, too. As far as the breakfast entrees, my husband's "country man" and my "farmers son" looked like they had been sitting too long. The gravy was congealed on top (its clear from my pics that the gravy is not okay), the potatoes were overcooked, and the food was overall not fresh. My daughter liked her egg and pancake but the bacon sliced was served half burnt, so she was disappointed. When the server offered raspberry or strawberry jellies, I was surprised so asked for both because I love sourdough toast w jelly. I thought some of my breakfast woes would be redeemed but the jelly each served in a tiny plastic cup was liquid! The taste was fine, but the jelly process was not complete, so why serve it that way? Basically, my family were all disappointed. As I am looking at a lot of the review photos right now, I see many things that look awesome, but our food was not that. I might try another location, but I won't be back to this location...
Read moreSorry this is a long one but I wanted to share my honest thoughts! The food here was absolutely phenomenal and the service was horrible. I'm dreaming of the food but I hesitate to go back because of how poorly we were taken care of. They told us the wait would be 30ish minutes which was fine and they let me know about 20 minutes in to the wait that it would be at least another 20 minutes to half hour. We waited a whole hour for a seat, granted they were busy so no questions there. When we got seated they provided no menus which was a little comical and a simple mistake so I got up and asked for one(not a problem we sat so close to the front anyway) but the waitress that came over didn't welcome us, smile at us, or even tell us her name. She simply asked what we wanted to drink. We told her our drink and food order as we had two ravenous children and she was kind of slow taking it down....but could have been a recent hire I'm not sure or she was having a bad day?? Then after getting our food and thoroughly enjoying it, we had to ask someone else for the check as the waitress hadn't come over to ask how our food was once we had received it or if we needed anything else(which I feel like is normal at restaurants for them to come and ask those things after you've received your food??) and when she finally brought it over she brought it combined instead of split which was strange, to me, that she didn't come ask how we wanted it as I was with a friend and we wanted it split? And when I asked her if we could split the bill she just looked so blankly at us....I ended up just sending a venmo to my friend since the waitress didn't seem like she wanted to help us at all. It was just very off putting how we were treated and it was like she gave zero cares about us and completely forgot about us....did she not like kids?? Maybe she had an off day?? I saw her smiling at other people so I really had no clue what we had done to offend her as we really just kept to ourselves the whole time. Anyway.....the food really really was to die for, completely worth the wait and I would highly recommend your next brunch date to be here. I'm just a little hesitant how the service...
Read moreI was so excited to see a menu full of gluten free foods for my daughter who can’t have gluten! Unfortunately their menu is so misleading. It labels their items as GF (gluten free) and at the bottom it says “made with gluten free ingredients and not in a gluten free kitchen” which is all fine for my daughter who is gluten intolerant. But what they don’t tell you is that these items are actually just able to be made gluten free by request and if you do that they charge you $2 extra per item. But of course you have to read the fine print and no waitress ever mentioned this. So for our 3 biscuits we were charged $2 extra per biscuit to make it gluten free which doubled the cost :)))))) you can see how frustrating it would be to get our check and see our bill was $20 extra by simply being a gluten free family. I understand that gluten free items usually are more but most places we have ever gone (which is a lot) that offer gluten free clearly label that it will be an extra $1 or $1.50 to make gluten free. So disappointing and won’t be going back simply because this doesn’t seem like an honest and transparent way to run a business! If they wanted to be transparent they would clearly label that gluten free will cost $2 extra for everything. Go ahead and read the menu and you will see there is only a fine print mentioning that an additional cost may apply. Sorry to all my gluten free friends. It’s never fair we spend double the amount everyone else does to simply enjoy a meal...
