Wright's Barbecue — Restaurant in Bentonville

The food is bomb! Absolutely great… specifically the meats! Anyone can get sides either way (right or wrong) but the meats top notch! Great service by the guy chopping the meat and the guy doing the sides - I wish I had names bc they were amazing at greeting the customers and speaking on the food - the guy on sides recognized it was my 1st time and gave me a sample of “bacon burnt end” wow smoked chucks of pork belly - perfection! The cashier however, didn’t match these two gentlemans energy at all. This was my 1st time here but not a stranger to excellent BBQ. Philadelphia has so award winning BBQ and this place can stand up to it. Not just the sauces, the MEATS! Wrights can cook! Everything like butter lol it’s all melts in ur mouth no need to chew anything hahah can’t wait to go back. This place needs a liquor license just to sell beer! Bc that’s all that was missing from my lunch a cold beer! With that said the atmosphere sucks! No parking not much seating. They need a new location in bentonville this place is too small and overrun. They have clearly over and outgrown this place and it’s not even in good condition. There should be two windows one for pick up/take out orders and one for ppl dining in. The line is out the door and anyone that see that would in fact think it bc they are busy and have something great to offer!?! And in this case that would be true but the latter is true too! It’s too small and ppl are too close for comfort. If I dined in this would be a 3 star review bc the good food cannot make up for the horrible dining experience - I take that back I would never dine in. They only have two tables inside and the rest is outside. So I guess they close down in the winter hahah but really it’s not a good situation and I’m not paying $60 to sit outside with bugs. U seat urself and can’t seat urself until u get ur food. So it’s not even a way to get a seat if they are out of seats. So atmosphere...

Edit UPDATE: Owner gave our office a call. Got in touch with me directly, and apologized gravely. Didn't make any excuses about the drop in the system. Provided full refund and we didn't even request it. We will be continuing to use them our meals moving forward! MAJOR FAN of the response!

I will start off with Everyone here loves our wrights BBQ. I do a few business meetings thru the month at their Rogers location.

It is Hands down the best BBQ in NWA!

We have used them for our thanksgiving lunch for a couple years per the request of guys in the field daily.

We always order with a few weeks in advance thru their online setup to ensure it’s not a rushed deal for our guys or for the team at the restaurant.

This year we went to pick up our meal to feed the guys, and everything was cold in ziplocs. Thank god we have a large microwave here at the office, couldn’t imagine taking it to the field on a cold day like we have done in the past.

The reasoning we received from the store employees, with disgruntled attitudes from previous folks asking the same question… it’s cold? “That’s the way we are doing it now” “Call or order online the week before to receive it hot”

If we had a little heads up, written or verbal about this we would have most likely gone a different direction for our team, and we will be next year for sure!

I got the hot sausage sandwich with coleslaw as my side. On the table there are three sauces to choose from — Sweet, Bold and Spicy. I didn’t find the hot sausage excessively spicy. Neither was the spicy BBQ sauce. However, I love spicy food. I got the onions on my sandwich. We ate outside. Everything was delicious, but my sandwich was very cold. Like they forgot to heat up the sausage and bun when they took it out of the refrigerator, cold. The coleslaw was extremely good. The cabbage was finely shredded. It actually made up for the cold sandwich. My husband got the beef brisket sandwich with onions and a side of smoked beans. He said they were both warm and excellent. He had the Original Sweet sauce. The sauces are kept on the table in squeeze bottles so they aren’t warm. My daughter had the smoked chicken sandwich with the onions and a side of deviled egg potato salad. She also had the Original Sweet BBQ sauce. She said all was delicious. So four stars overall. There are a few tables inside but most of the seating is outdoors at picnic tables and we were comfortable there. It wasn’t very wheelchair accessible. There was a sign on the door apologizing about the parking. There was construction going on by the city. There was a sign about another parking lot around the back.
